My Current Playlist

Image
Today I wanted to share something different with you, something that is a big part of my life: Music. I know that I've been singing from the time I could talk and back then, when I was little, Sarah Connor was my absolute favourite singer. Later on I was singing in a choir for ages and now I do miss it quite a lot at times. Since times have changed and I no longer listen to Sarah Connor, I wanted to share my current playlist with you and I hope you will enjoy this blog post. I have quite a few playlists on my Youtube account, but there is a particular one I turn on every day. And I also have to say that I don't listen to all the songs daily, but I want to share the songs that are my favourites at the moment. Let's start with my current favourite singer - Florence Welch . I think I started listening to her when I was 14 or maybe even younger, I know all the songs by heart and wish I had that dreamy voice too. From her last album, The Odyssey, I especially lik...

Tea Time And Sunshine

Image
After my exam this morning I hurried back home to enjoy a hot cup of tea and some delicious Golden Syrup cake that we bought yesterday in Bobby's Foodstore. This place is a dream for all the people that miss the UK. Today even the sun came out, so now I'm sitting on my sofa, all cosy and warm, enjoying some warm sunrays and of course, my favourite Earl Grey tea and a few slices of the golden syrup cake, that I used to buy nearly every day back in Edinburgh. Later on I have to go back to uni one more time and then I'll be studying in the evening for tomorrow's exam. my current favourite jumper is this grey, oversized one from H&M - I pretty much live in it and I am not even lying. my jeans are from Bershka Hope you're all having a nice day too! :) -Olivia ~26.01.2017~

A Walk Around Vienna

Image
Hello everyone! I am back with a new blog post after three weeks of not uploading anything. This is crazy and I feel so bad about it but work, uni and my 2 exam weeks really robbed all my free time this month. I am quite sad because since my vlogging camera broke, I thought I would blog more, but so far it didn't go as planned. So far I had five exams and there are three more to go until the end of this semester. Today I had a day without any exams, so I really need to study, but we also decided to go and explore Vienna a little bit for a few hours, so that I can also just take a break from studying like crazy. Recently I found out that there is a shop in Vienna that sells British food and I was like : OMG, I SO have to go there! And I thought today was a good day to drag Eryk to that shop. It is actually quite far from where I live and it was freezing so we nearly had a mental breakdown before arriving at the shop, but in the end we made it and we were really happy. That shop...

What I Like About Christmas

Image
I seriously can't believe that Christmas Eve is already in three days! Due to work and uni, the time went by so quickly that I didn't even realise that the year is coming to an end, and therefore, Christmas is just around the corner too. I am usually the person, who will always choose summer over winter, but then again, I really love Christmas. I love Christmas because of the way we celebrate it in Poland, I think it's quite special and magical. Every year we go to Poland, to spend the Christmas holidays with my whole family, and also this year we're going, except that we only have three days off this time. Still, I'm sure we will enjoy it and have a great time. There are so many things I like about Christmas.... I do hate the cold for sure, but running back home to get a hot cup of delicious Earl Grey tea with that zingy lemon taste in it is priceless to me. Like I said once: tea is life. In summer you can't drink too much hot tea, so the cold season...

Christmas in Vienna

Image
Hello everyone! Time is flying by so fast and I didn't even realise that I haven't posted in ages already! This month is busier than I expected, so I'm trying to finish off all the homeworks, presentations and revise for my exams, plus I'm also working and somehow I don't even get time to sit down and watch a series, have a cup of tea and just relax for some time. So I really can't wait for my Christmas break, where I'll still have to work, but on the other days I will manage to do everything else I have to. Last week Eryk pretty spontaneously decided to come and stay for a few days since he had some time off. I had my exam week so I was rather nervous about this idea, but Eryk was relaxing, playing games and watching videos, while I was studying all day long until my exams. On one of these days I decided that I needed a short break so we decided to go to the city centre for an hour or two, just to have a stroll around, look at the small Christmas marke...

Lookbook from Toruń

Image
If you haven't seen the first blog post from my Toruń "series" then check this out first! The weather was better than I expected it to be and I also packed 4 outfits for the 3 days in case I would get something dirty or if I was too cold or uncomfortable etc. I am actually really proud of myself because for the first time probably I packed really well and I didn't complain about my choices. I took two jackets with me, one for the colder days and one for the warmer days. And I have to say that in the mornings and evenings I wore the cream furry jacket from Primark, whereas during the day I wore my bomber jacket from Forever21. And unfortunately for some reason we forgot the camera in the hotel room on the first day, so I don't have any good photos from that day. DAY 1 I managed to take a quick and rubbish selfie that I sent to my mum after I got ready at the bus station bathroom at 7 am. On the ceremony day I wore this pretty dress in this rusty colour...

Weekend in Toruń with Eryk

Image
Hello everybody! After a long break I'm again back with a new blog post. The last week was busy because I was working and studying and on Thursday I was leaving to see my boyfriend Eryk in the Polish army. I went on a 14,5 hour coach ride and arrived in Toruń at 7 am, totally exhausted. I got changed and did my make-up in a bus station bathroom, went to a nearby shop to buy some breakfast and went on a walk around the area before I made my way to the military ground. The ceremony started at 12 but since there were 315 people about to become soldiers, their whole families were waiting there impatiently. I think there were around 2000 people there and I felt like I'm gonna get either lost or squashed. After the ceremony Eryk could leave the place over the weekend so we could spend the 3 days together, exploring a new city and enjoying the time of just the 2 of us. We went to so many places, to so many restaurants and shops and I feel like I could do this every day and it wouldn...
