Empty Products - Body

Image
After summing up the empty hair products, let's move over to the body stuff. There are again three subcategories and hopefully you'll find some helpful information. :) OTHER It's weird to start the post with the "other" products but I actually think that these two are the ones that might need more of a review than a shower gel. The first product I'll write about is the Sugar Crush Body Scrub by Soap and Glory and it is my absolute favourite! I can't even tell how much I loved this product and I remember when I got it, I was still in Scotland and then I was using it here in the old flat too and now in my new flat as well, so it really shows how much I used and loved it throughout this long time. I am a rather lazy person when it comes to skincare but since I have really dry skin all the time, I just need to use some scrub in the shower once in a few days to keep my skin looking somewhat similar to normal. This scrub has the most amazing, fresh ...

My Favourite Body Lotions (Ziaja, Soap&Glory, Moschino & Garnier)

Image
Ok guys. Now that I started studying 20 minutes ago, it came to my mind that I didn't write a new blog post in two weeks ( though I filmed another video ), and that it is the perfect moment to do so now. So, now I'm sitting here, blogging instead of revising for my exams. Oh well. Summer is nearly over and even though I didn't get as tanned as I wanted to, I still was out in the sun a lot and after the summer months I feel like you can tell that your skin is a bit dry. Also, to keep your tan for a bit longer, a good idea is moisturising! So, this post is about my daily after-shower-routine really. I'll talk you through my four favourite body lotions and oils and I hope you'll already know some of them and agree with my opinion. Firstly, I wanted to mention the Ziaja Cocoa Butter body lotion that I've been using quite a while now. I love the minimalistic design of it. It's white, simple and it matches my bathroom well ( I never thought I would...

Primark & Depot Interior Haul

Image
Yesterday we spent our afternoon in Primark and since I haven't been in quite a while I was excited to get a few new pieces. To be honest, I was pretty disappointed when it comes to clothing because I didn't really get much apart from a couple of things, plus a cosy robe for chilly mornings and very cute pyjamas. I was happy though to find some cute home bits, so here they are: I got these little copper wire fairy lights for my office. I hung them up between the two heavy, thick grey curtains that have some copper detailing, so the lights match them perfectly! On the other wall I also have a copper clock, so I liked to keep the office more elegant, with dark furniture and copper details. The lights add such a cosy light in the evenings, that you don't really want to switch them off at all. For the kitchen I got two new mugs, which I fell in love with immediately! I know I already have so many mugs, but these ones are bigger than most of the ones I own right now...

My March Beauty Favourites

Image
Tomorrow is already April and it is just crazy! I don't even know how this month went by that quickly?! We had the start of the new semester at uni and there was also a few days of Easter, plus I was working quite a lot this month. I think this is why I didn't even realise that the month is over already. If you're very busy you just seem not to feel that at all. But, as always at the end of each month I'm here to let you know about my most used beauty products of March. There's not many because I use all my regular products on a daily basis and they all are my faves but those ones are either new or I just rediscovered them again. Let's start with the new products: I've been using different Garnier hair conditioners for some years now and at first I was disappointed but with time they surprised me a lot. My latest addition is from the Honey Treasures range and I mainly bought it because of its nice smell. I didn't expect too much honestly, but ...

My January Beauty Favourites

Image
The month is already nearly over and this means that it's time for the Beauty Favourites! I have them again in three different categories, so it's more organised. FACE The first product I want to show you is my Bioderma Sebium Global cream or also called the Intensive purifying care. This product has helped my skin immensely since I have very oily skin and therefore I have lots of stubborn blackheads that can't be removed even by using face scrubs ( which is very annoying!). So, I've been using this product every night after taking off my make-up and after some days I started seeing a change- my blackheads were almost gone and I didn't get as many spots as usual.  I am seriously impressed by this cream/serum, I just use a teeny tiny drop and spread it all over my T-zone usually, since that's the area that needs help. And it really works very well for me. What's good for you if you live in Austria- you can now get Bioderma products in sever...

A Cosy September Evening

Image
Summer becomes more and more a happy memory and autumn is coming faster than expected. It was super hot and then it suddenly cooled down pretty much, which shocked me a bit. I've heard that next week will be a warmer one again but after that I think autumn will really start. On some of those days I felt like just sitting in bed all day long, wrapped up in a cosy blanket, staying warm and happy. Today I wanted to tell you quickly what I like to do on rainy, chilly days, when I really don't want to leave the house, or when I don't have anything better to do than just staying in my room. The most important part of cosy autumn evenings is probably a good cup of tea for me. Being in chilly Scotland for a year, I used to drink SO much tea! I drank from 5 to 6 cups at least throughout the day and I was pretty much addicted to it. It kept me warm and hydrated, I preferred to drink my favourite Twinings Earl Grey, to eating unnecessary snacks. I could seriously only drink te...

My OOTD: End of College

Image
Today I picked up a parcel from the Royal Mail and then went straight to College to revise for my two exams that I had soon after and then I could go home and since I've had all my assessments now, I won't need to come back to College anymore, which is great because I have my summer holidays from now on! But it is also a bit sad because I've met some people there that I really got to love and I'll be sad not seing them on a daily basis any longer. Still, the weather is a bit weird, since I felt like it got warmer today but then again the wind is just so strong that sometimes I couldn't even walk because I would fall over or the wind would push me back, most of the time I couldn't see where I am going because of my hair that was just in my face all the time. But I made it, and I hope that I won't need to leave the house anymore today. I did however go for more of a summery outfit because I already felt bored of wearing jeans and a jumper all the time. ...

Beauty Products I Can't Live Without!

Image
Today I was thinking about products I really use so much that I could absolutely not live without them and decided to write a short blog post about them. I chose wisely, I think, and if I was not allowed to use anything else, I hope that those things would satisfy me. So, most of them are face realted as you can tell. First of all - mascara.  When I first started using make-up when I was 12-13, I started with mascara. For a long time I didn't use anything else until I started getting some spots and had to use concealer too. I feel much more confident when wearing mascara because since my eyes are like I often say quite small and in primary people even called me "Chinese" because of them. Well, to open up my eyes I feel like mascara works the best. My lashes are pulled up and if the mascara is good, like this Perversion from Urban Decay or Roller Lash by Benefit, they stay up all day and my eyes look more awake and alive. Even when I'm ill and have to go...

My OOTD: Nice Hair And Bare Legs

Image
Today it's actually really warm here in Edinburgh (20 degrees!) and I loved it! I had to go to College and didn't really know what to wear because I was scared the weather would suddenly change and I would be cold wearing a nice, summery outfit. However, I decided to risk it and wore a dress, a little cardigan, flats and decided to take my trench coat with me to keep myself warm should it rain or so. But it didn't rain and I was definitely not cold, and I didn't even wear any tights today which made this day my first bare legged day of the year! After College I quickly did the most important shopping and headed home, ate something and then we went out for a walk to enjoy the sunshine for a bit longer. This time we didn't take Maya with us, even though the area we went to was more appropriate to let a ferret run around, but we just didn't feel like it really. I decided to wear sandals, because my poor toes are still sore and wearing closed shoes for a longe...

Packing for Travelling Part 1

Image
So, Sunday is coming to an end and I have to start revising for my Spanish exam, which is tomorrow. I will also need to print my tickets and make sure I have everything I need to pack on Tuesday. To begin with, I chose the liquids bag, because this is always a tricky thing. I am going by plane and since I'm not going to stay for long I decided to have hand luggage only and for this reason I need to make sure I don't exceed the limits to avoid problems. For this moment I think that those are all the liquid products I'll be taking with me, as I can't thing of anything else just now. Sorry for the crappy photos but I don't have a camera home just now but still wanted to blog, so I had to use my phone camera. I've packed my perfume, which is a pretty small size. because it's only 30ml and therefore perfect for travelling. It is also my favourite perfume and I am just addicted to it. It is the Escada Cherry in the air, if you're wondering. ...

Nude Lipgloss | Comparison Urban Decay vs Soap&Glory

Image
I really like wearing lipgloss, once the wind is not blowing of course, and I can never really decide which one to go for. I don't have many and they are also not that different, so today I wanted to compare and contrast two of my favourite lipglosses (if you can even say that)- one is more affordable, and the other one is more high end you could say. Soap&Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker is a fun lipgloss to look at. First of all- the title is funny and I'm never too sure if this is even appropriate but I just love that catchy name. This range comes in about four or five colours if I'm not wrong. However there are kind of two different ranges of them. I actually have two of the Sexy Mother Puckers and one of them is clear and it is that one that plumps your lips, so it kind of is supposed to make your lips look fuller and it stings. And that Sexy Mother Pucker is not the same as the one I'm talking about today. The one I'm talking about is also called a lip la...

What's in my Bag? - Day in Town

Image
I've done such a post already last summer when I was here in Scotland, using the same bag. But I thought since it's getting springy again, I would do an update, even though not much has changed. Still, I'm using this bag the most when going to town or to the shop. It's because the size is so practical, it holds everything I need outside the house, but I don't overpack it, what I usually do with bigger bags, which makes them even heavier (logic.). I also like the caramel, light brown colour of the leather and the fact that it has crossbody strap. It is also from Fossil, which is probably my favourite bag brand, even though I only have one so far, but I just like their styles so much and am dying to get more, but they are a bit pricey and I just can't afford to get one whenever I want just now at the moment. I unfortunately got a little light patch on the front flap ages ago and I have no idea where it came from and when it happened. It frustrates me a l...

Small Boots & Primark Haul | New In

Image
I finally feel much better today after this terrible food poisoning and went to College since it was my last French class before my speaking exam. It was supposed to be on Tuesday but now my turn is actually already on Monday, which means that I actually have even less time to revise than I planned. I still have to learn a lot and for this reason I will stay at home tomorrow and make myself a cosy day in, instead of going out to explore, like I usually do. It's just because I work all Saturday and Sunday long and won't have too much time to revise during those two days and I definitely need some more revision for this exam. But, after College I decided to quickly go to Boots and Primark because I had to get a new concealer since I've run out of mine and also because I needed some new pairs of tights because I don't have any pretty ones left and therefore only wear leggings or jeans.  So, first I quickly ran to the bank and then to Boots, where I got the conce...
