My Morning Routine Video + Vlog!

Image
I felt pretty well yesterday and started eating, which caused that this morning I woke up with the same symptoms that I had over the last few days when I felt terrible and stayed in bed or the bathroom. So, this means that I am not going anywhere today, I only popped into the pharmacy quickly and that was it. Also, I am again weak and just won't be able to work tomorrow so I found someone to cover my shift so that I can rest a bit and maybe I'll be able to work on Sunday. This also means that I will have some more time to revise for my French speaking exam, which makes me a bit happier. And, since I'm spending today at home as well, I thought I'd film a short video about my morning routine. I just filmed sequences of what I usually do when I have to go to College. So, if you want to find out how my usual mornings look like, go and see yourself! And here is the vlog! -Olivia ~13.03.2015~

Balance Me LE Tinted Lip Salve | Beauty

Image
The other day I decided to pick up the new issue of Glamour, which is only £2 and usually has cool extras in it. This time you can choose from 4 Balance Me products and I went for the lip gloss/ lip salve as I was most curious about it. It says it's a limited edition and it is said to be soothing, hydrating and adding colour to the lips. Also, it claims that it's 100% natural and made in the UK. Apart from that it also states that Balance Me is against animal testing and the gloss is petroleum-free. So, I thought it would be fun to list all the ingredients, which are natural, just to give you an impression of how natural it is. SO: sweet almond oil, lanolin, castor seed oil, virgin coconut oil, beeswax, shea butter, mica, rosehip fruit oil, jojoba seed oil, mango seed butter, cocoa seed butter, natural vitamin E, a colouring from Oxide, peppermint leaf oil, spearmint leaf oil, mandarin peel oil, limonene and linalool. Sounds good, right? You can also visit Balan...

Today's Make-Up And Statement Necklace

Image
I got up at seven in the morning, because the sunshine came in through the windows and I felt immediately happy. Yesterday it was still snowing and today it was very warm, the sun was out and it felt like spring. But I've heard that before the weekend the weather is going to get worse again. I thought I'd do the usual make-up, which means eyeliner, mascara, and some matte lipstick on top of the "base". My spots are also visible after the whole day, but I definitely won't redo my make-up just now. For the eyeliner I again used my waterproof liner from Maybelline, which I really like. On my lips I used the Bourjois matte lipstick, I've spoken about a lot, also in my previous make-up post . It lasted for so many hours and I've eaten and drunk and it didn't come off yet! I decided to wear a skirt once again- and chose my midi denim skirt. I paired it with my white crochet jumper and this coral statement necklace I got some time ago...

February Favourites | Beauty & Hair

Image
February is coming to an end, and this means that it is time to share my favourite's of this month with you very quickly. Let's start with my favourite lip balm- the Yves Rocher Noix de Coco. I've been repurchasing it for over a year now and I am in love with the creamy consistency, the smell of it and the time it stays on my lips. This one is actually nearly empty, but fortunately I got a new one for Christmas from my mum, so I have some supply for the next 6 months or so. Another product I've been loving lately is the Benefit Roller Lash mascara. This is obviously the sample I still got. I use it every day on my upper lashes and they are so long and separated! I love the look this mascara gives my eyelashes and was even considering buying the full sized one, but it costs £20 and if I think about it, the Urban Decay Perversion mascara costs less and is probably as good as the Benefit one. I actually won't buy the full sized one now, and maybe try to get...

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara | Review

Image
I saw many girls writing about how amazing this mascara is and so I decided to get it and to see myself. However, the full size mascara is still not available yet, but you can get it with the March issue of ELLE. And that's exactly what I did. The issue with the mascara is 4£ so I thought there was nothing really to lose. The mascara is a 3 ml size, so let's say a bit less than a usual full sized one. The wand has the shape of a spoon, I'd say. On the upper side it has shorter bristles and longer ones on the other side. The wand is a silicone one, which I usually like and was happy to get such a mascara again after a long time of using the hair bristle wands. The formula itself is quite liquid and buildable. What surprised me a lot is that I can take it off quickly and it doesn't smear all around my eyes. Benefit says that this mascara curls the lashes and therefore they look longer. I have to say that my lashes are heavy and many mascaras don'...

My OOTD And Little Goodies

Image
Today the weather was so pretty that I decided to finally wear a skirt again instead of jeans. So, this is what I wore and our cutie pie Maya modelled with me in our backyard. I went for quite a lot of make-up and at first I had a make-up disaster and wanted to cry but I somehow managed to fix it a bit. For my base I used my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, my Bourjois Healthy Balance powder, Urban Decay Naked on the Run bronzer and the blush too. I used my Maybelline gel liner and the Urban Decay Perversion mascara on  my eyes and my new AVON lipstick in the shade Wine With Everything, and I absolutely love it! It is a purple/burgundy shade and it is a bit glossy as well. My outfit consisted of my grey and white patterned crop sweater that I got from ASDA one day, my black skater skirt from H&M, some burgundy tights I got for Christmas, my Clarks leather loafers and my Jack Wills shopper bag. (+ my furry coat for outside) When I came home I got...

Empty Products | January

Image
Lately I kind of didn't feel like it was already time for some new empties, but today I realised that there is quite a lot of stuff that I'd be happy to get rid of already,  so here's the entry about those products: Hair: I collected two hair products this time and one was cool, the other one was horrible. For some time now I've only used Tresemmé hair shampoos and tried out some that seemed to be good for my hair. This time I went for the shampoo which is said to be suitable for all hair types and was sure I couldn't do anything wrong with this one - wrong! I am pretty sure this shampoo contains no siliciones and that the problem is caused by that fact. Well, it smells very nice and it promises what I wanted. The consistency is not creamy unlike the other Tresemmé shampoos I've tried, but feels like jelly and is blueish transparent. While applying it to my hair it felt alright,  but once I tried to rinse it, it wouldn't come out of my hair at all....

Empty Products | September

Image
Today I decided that it is about time again to show you the empties I've collected throughout the past weeks. There are not many of them, but still, there are a few worth showing I think. Let's start with two different washing products. First we have a beautiful 400ml bottle of the Garnier Ultimate Blends "The sleep restorer" shampoo. I've bought it some time ago and probably the best thing about this shampoo is the smell. Honestly, if you don't have this shampoo and you are not planning on getting it- don't smell it in shops!  Also, it looks very tempting and it says that it is good for dry and frizzy hair. Well, I don't necessary have dry hair because I just recently cut my dry and split ends. And my hair gets greasy too quickly in my opinion, so I'd probably need a shampoo that won't give me more moisture. But my hair is totally frizzy after it dries. No matter if I let it dry on its own or if I blow dry it. It always is frizz...

Photobombing Ferret

I realised that I didn't show any pictures we took last time we went for a walk. Eryk took his bike and for most of the time I was sitting on the bike while Eryk was pushing me along. This was fun, I wasn't exhausted, Eryk had bit of a workout, people were laughing. Here I am, with a beautiful face expression I totally adore this place! Our fun times :D Well, and now over to today's part. Today I got up early again as Eryk went to college. Maya didn't want to stay in the cage any longer so I let her play in the bed while I was trying to relax a bit more. But soon I got up as well, got ready for the day and Maya was playing in the room all morning long. She has the lama, an empty bottle and a pair of socks to play with, and sometimes even my slippers. She's such a happy girl when she can just run around. She doesn't chew on wires or furniture, which is very very good and she always poops in her cage. So we are not scared of letting her...
