Pre-Christmas Vlog

Image
I can't believe that Christmas is already in 4 days! Time flies by way too quickly and I'm shocked I've already had my first uni exams. The previous weeks have been so stressful for me with all the revision I had to do but now it's over- at least for some time. I passed one out of two exams, which means that I need to resit the second one in February, but I hope that by then it will all be good. Now I'll finally have one or two weeks off before I start revising again, so I can finally relax and have some time for myself, and my family. Here's the vlog, where you can see and hear everything that was going on last week! And also don't forget to check the link in the description box, to see what I was doing exactly one year ago! :) Hope you're all having a good and calm pre-Christmas time! :) -Olivia ~20.12.2015~

What's in my Bag? - Day in Town

Image
I've done such a post already last summer when I was here in Scotland, using the same bag. But I thought since it's getting springy again, I would do an update, even though not much has changed. Still, I'm using this bag the most when going to town or to the shop. It's because the size is so practical, it holds everything I need outside the house, but I don't overpack it, what I usually do with bigger bags, which makes them even heavier (logic.). I also like the caramel, light brown colour of the leather and the fact that it has crossbody strap. It is also from Fossil, which is probably my favourite bag brand, even though I only have one so far, but I just like their styles so much and am dying to get more, but they are a bit pricey and I just can't afford to get one whenever I want just now at the moment. I unfortunately got a little light patch on the front flap ages ago and I have no idea where it came from and when it happened. It frustrates me a l...

Portobello Beach

Image
It was a beautiful day once again, here in Edinburgh and I decided that after so many months of not being there, it is definitely time for a beach walk! It was quite a long bus ride for me but eventually I got there and it was very sunny and not so windy as I thought it would be. The sea always impresses me, no matter where it is. It makes me feel so calm, the sound of the waves makes me feel relaxed and sometimes I even think I'd love to live just by the sea. But then again the waves and wind would probably drive me crazy at night since my sleep is not so deep and I wake up to every sound really. Once it gets warmer I'd totally love to go there more often again with Eryk, to sit down and have a snack, to take some pictures and to film a bit again. There is also a cute cafe called The Tide, that we've been to twice already. You can find a lot of art in there and you can buy those pieces too. It is just a cute little place to sit down and have a hot chocolate and some tast...

What's on my phone?

Image
Recently I managed to get myself a cool phone, which is the HTC Desire 610, and I thought why not show you what I filled it with over the first month! I picked ten apps that I'll show you - they are just the ones I use daily and find really helpful. Let's start with my homescreen then. Here is really the most most important stuff I'd say. For example WhatsApp . I never managed to download it on my previous phone because it said that I am not 18, even though I am. Now I finally have it and it is such an easy way of keeping in touch with friends and family abroad. I have unlimited texts, so for the UK I am totally fine without the app, but texting abroad gets really expensive. So I am happy to have the app because I can text people I like all the time and I can also send them random pictures of the day. Also on this page I have the Edinburgh Bus Tracker app. And this is seriously a lifesaver here! I live just outside of Edinburgh and there is only one bus and a tr...

Christmas Wishlist In October?!

Image
When I was a child I used to write my wishlists for Christmas already in October. I have no idea why, but I thought it was a good thing to write down all my dream gifts as early as possible, as by Christmas I'd already forget all of them and I would remember them again when it was already too late. So, I still like to write down what I'd like to buy myself, what I'd like to put money aside for, or what I'd like to get for Christmas or my Birthday. I totally hate it when people ask me what I'd like to get and I just can't think of anything, even though there are always some small things I dream of.. Well, today I thought I could share five ideas for Christmas, that would make me extremely happy if I got them (or bought myself). 1) I would like to have a new bag for College. I have one at the moment, the GABS one, but it is too colourful to wear it with every outfit, which totally annoys me. But this is my only big bag, and I need a big one because I nee...

Tiring Day

Image
I sadly couldn't sleep last night at all and I slept from 6 until nearly 10 only. This is mental as I had to go to College and I was happy because it was French time, but still, I was so tired. So when I got up I stayed a bit longer in bed and texted some friends, I cleaned the cage, had some breakfast, got ready and left. On the bus I saw my friend Danielle and we had a small chat together until I had to get off. Then I sat on the next bus and a woman just came and asked me to fill in a bus survey, so I did and the time went by quickly so that soon I had to get off the bus again. At College I tried to work as hard as possible, but being extremely tired didn't really help. After the lesson's finished I had to wait for my letter to be written by the Student Office, which took a while, and then I had to go to the library to make some photocopies of some documents. After that I could finally take the bus home, but it took me ages to get there. At home I quickly ate something ...
