My OOTD: Sun Is Back

Image
Hello guys! My exams have already started yesterday and I am so busy with revision now that I hardly even have time to do anything else. My life got so boring now but I guess after the 30th of June it will all be better again! So, I just took a break from revising and decided to write a quick entry and I wanted to do an OOTD for ages but the problem is that there is nobody really who could just take some time to photograph my outfit in a nice place. And now I thought I'd try it myself at home and though I'm not too happy with the photo quality, I thought it wasn't too bad. Now you finally get to see my face again, after all the beauty related posts I was writing over the last few weeks ( It is simply much easier than having someone take photos of you + the weather was a nightmare recently and there was no chance for good outfit pictures anyways) crop top - Forever21 suede like A-line skirt - Forever21 flats - Forever21 ( That was a bit too much of Forever21 a...

Original Source Shower Gel Review + Video!

Image
Hello everybody! Today I'm back with something rather cool because I'm gonna write a little bit about Original Source 's shower gel ( and I am maybe a little obsessed with shower gel...). I also filmed a video over on my YT channel that you should definitely watch, where you can find out more about those goodies! A few weeks ago I got 7 different shower gels and I am in love with most of them already. The most important thing about Original Source products is that their products are all vegan, made in the UK AND not tested on animals!! Still, they are very affordable and in the UK they are available in every grocery store! ( Pretty much what I miss a lot about living in Edinburgh). My favourite is definitely the Vanilla Raspberry one, which I was already writing about, a long time ago here , I also mentioned that situation in the video if you're curious why this one is my favourite. ;) I totally recommend this brand because of its great natural scents. I...

My OOTD: Park With My Friend

Image
Good morning! Yesterday I had French at Uni and afterwards I met up with my friend Nicole. We haven't seen eachother in ages and we decided it was time for a catch-up. First we went to Starbucks and since it wasn't cold and autumny outside, we went for tasty Refreshas instead of hot coffee. We sat there for quite a while, chatting away and it was just so nice! I really missed all of my girlfriends when I was away. Then we decided to go for a walk and we actually really walked far! We also had some tasty icecream and I think this might have been my last icecream of the year? (Well, real icecream) Once we came to "Burggarten", which is a pretty park in pretty much the centre of Vienna ( look it up online! :D ), we again sat down and enjoyed the sunshine and peace. When it started to get dark we went on to the city centre and also had a stroll around there, watching all the street musicians and looking at all the pretty shop windows. It was a really nice day. When I...

My 19th Birthday!

Image
I feel like my 18th Birthday was just some weeks ago, and now I am already officially 19! If you are curious about how things looked like exactly one year ago, click here ! Today I actually had to work from 9 until 6 in the evening, so I can basically say that I spent all day long at work, wasting my Birthday. For this reason it is not really such a special day, even though I do feel pretty excited and I don't even know why. Once I came home a "Happy Birthday" banner welcomed me in front of our room. When I came in I felt so emotional seeing all the pink balloons hanging around the walls and some more banners above the bed. I also got a box of Raffaello's, a beautiful card and a "Birthday Girl" rosette, which is super cute. Since Eryk is still at work and will be home late I will watch some series, have some tea and ice cream, because that's probably everything I am allowed to get from the kitchen. Eryk told me not to open the fridge until he'...

Coloured Eye Crayons | Eye Make-Up

Image
Lately I ordered myself two AVON glimmersticks that I totally love using and for Christmas I got another thin eye crayon, but this time from INGLOT. So at the moment I have three of those retractable crayon liners in different colours. I definitely need to get more of them as I kind of think that they add a nice detail to your eye make-up, without trying out any complicated looks. What I like to do is to use my Maybelline gel liner and create a thin black line, sometimes a bit winged out, and to define my lower lash line with one of the coloured crayon liners and to put some mascara to my lashes after that. Today I actually didn't feel like having a black winged eyeliner, so I used my Bourjois Quad palette in 02 Over Rose on my eyelids and to stick with the colour range I used the shimmery purple glimmerstick liner from AVON, which is in the shade sugar plum. I usually used a plain black khol liner to contour my eye, but at the moment I feel like this look is quit...

New Years Resolutions 2015

Image
A new year is a good date to plan things ahead. I always try my best to make resolutions and to keep them if possible, Here is what I thought about for 2014: Resolutions I wrote down 10 and managed to keep 8! I think that's not bad, right? So, my resolutions for 2015 are: 1) Get into Uni. - I didn't get into Uni last year, so I had to chose College instead, but now it is really time for Uni... I've sent my application again and I will also send one for Vienna in March, just in case something should go wrong. 2) Save up some money for holidays, tickets, moving out. - Everybody needs money and as a student I try my best to save up as much as possible. But make-up and clothes make everything worse. However, I also want to go on holidays and this requires some money too. 3) Buy a laptop. - Last year I didn't buy myself a new laptop, but this year I really need to. ( See point 2- save up some money). I will need one to work for Uni and to upload blogs more or less a...

Snowy Days

Image
The first snowflakes appeared already some days ago and two nights ago Eryk and I even jumped into our onesies and ran outside just to stand there while heavy snow was falling. Yesterday's weather was just a total disaster, it was terribly stormy, raining, snowing, there was a hailstorm and basically it was not the best day to leave the house, right? Today I got up before 10 and got ready as I had another doctor's appointment and the snow at the time I had to leave was so strong that I would prefer to stay in my cosy and warm bed. But Eryk walked there with me and by the time I could go home the snow stopped. Then I went to college and the snow came back and didn't calm down until the evening. When I came home,  I had a hot tea and Eryk cooked dinner for us. Then I managed to call my mum and tell her about the doctor's appointment and everything else that's going on at the moment. Of course, it is a hot chocolate and good cake day, so that's what I've ...

First Christmas Wrapping

Image
Today I thought of all the gifts that are laying around in a big bag in our closet and I decided to wrap them up already. At least some of them. There is actually still plenty of time left, but as I still need to get more gifts, to be honest - most of the gifts, and get some college work done before my flight to Poland, I'd prefer to not leave everything until the last second. So, to get myself a bit more into the christmassy spirit, here's what I'm doing just now! Also, let's not forget that it is definitely hot chocolate time. This morning I woke up, looked out of the window and saw the first snow of this winter, it's so strange somehow. I still feel like summer was just some weeks ago... Looks like my wrapping skills got better this year... FINALLY! -Olivia ~08.12.2014~

My OOTD | Third of December

Image
It is already the third day of December, which is insane! I went to College today as usual and after that I also went for a moment to ASDA to get what we've run out of and I came home quite hungry and exhausted. While eating I was talking to my mum on Skype and now I'll just quickly show you today's outfit, which in my opinion is quite elegant and a bit festive. I wore everything in black, what I sometimes somehow enjoy doing. My transparent top with velvet flowers is from Dorothy Perkin s - I finally showed it in an outfit post! I really like it and I pair it with a nude cami top from Matalan , to cover up what should stay covered. I also wore my black skater skirt from H&M that I already bought ages ago, but still really like. And as it is not too warm, I also had some thick tights from Primark underneath. Plus, my fluffy cardigan from H&M, my fake fur as well from H&M and my Clarks boots. And as I went to college I also had my GABS bag with me. The ...

Top 3 Autumn/Winter Nail Polishes

Image
To be honest, I don't really know if you can still call this time of the year autumn, where everything is so christmassy already. And it got colder for sure. To me this is already winter, and it's also only a month left until Christmas. Which means that I have my flight to Poland in less than a month already! This is really crazy... But, as the christmassy times also mean christmassy, cosy outfits, I like to pair them with pretty nail polishes. I haven't bought any new ones lately, although I'd really love to have a dark grey one or so. Or all the nail polishes available at the moment. So here are three nail polishes I wear most often right now, and which are also very good and worth having at home. The first nail polish for today is quite a dark purple shade from MakeUpAcademy. The colour is called Plum Noir and you can get it from Superdrug for 1£ only! After two thin layers, the nail polish is covering nicely. It gives a nice accent to your outfit, goes perf...

Scented Candle Addict

Image
As you may have already realised, I am kind of a candle addict. I try not to stock up too much on them because I actually want to see them and smell them burn. And if I had too many different ones at the same time, there would always be some of them left unlit. I've always bought scented candles from IKEA, which are great, but I've burnt down all of the ones I had when I still lived in Vienna. I also had one from Primark, in a rectangular piece of glass, and it's Vanilla smell was just amazing! Last Christmas I even got three small Yankee Candles from the Christmas Range, but I didn't have enough space in my luggage to take them all with me when I was moving out. And one of the nicest candles I've had was one from WoodWick, which was also a Christmas gift last year. It had a crackling noise and such a beautifully shaped jar, which could be actually reused as a small bouquet vase. I nearly burnt it down fully before leaving, so I gave it to my mum and she placed i...

Matalan Homeware "Haul"

Image
Yesterday, after I picked up my make-up brushes from the Delivery Office, I popped into Matalan to check what home ware they have at the moment. And I have to say that I'd buy so many things there to decorate my room, but I had to go to school straight after so I couldn't really buy more things than there would actually fit into my bag. So I thought, why not pick at least something small? So I chose two small things that made me feel happy and I also managed to carry them in my bag, so it was perfect. The two things I got are a small candle in a pretty tin and a small mirror. The candle smells like frosted blackberry and it is so amazing! I haven't lit it yet as I have no lighter at the moment, but I can't wait seeing it burning next to the window in the evenings. I also chose this candle because I was thinking of purple accents that I'd like to have in our room. After burning the candle down I'd like to keep the tin to reuse it for example to keep j...
