My Christmas Wishlist 2016

Image
The last week before Christmas just began and now it is really just around the corner. And if I'm honest, I still don't quite now what I'd like to get this year. However, I came up with a few ideas that would make great gifts for me, so let's have a look! 1. Moschino - Chic Petals perfume Before I first discovered this perfume, I was totally in love with Escada's Cherry in the air and when they discontinued it my heart pretty much broke. It took me some time to find another perfume that I'd like just as much, and it's the Chic petals perfume by Moschino. It smells very glamourous, though still pretty sweet, which I really like. I have already been asked SO many times what perfume I'm using and I am still surprised every time I hear that question. It is obviously not a regular drug store perfume, so it's a teeny tiny bit more pricey, however, it's very intense and lasts for ages! ( I got my last one in April and I will still have i...

How To Look After Thick, Long Hair (+video)

Image
Caring for my hair takes up a lot of time in my life and since I get questions about it very, very often I thought I would finally film a short video where I explain how my hair routine looks like. Check out the video here! My shampoo is the Smooth and Sleek one by Pantene Pro-V and I'm pretty sure this is the one I've been already using half of my life! It is definitely the best for my hair, I never have any issues with it and you can get it literally everywhere too. The conditioner I started using very recently is the new L'Oreal Elvital from the Clay range and after the first use I could already tell that it's amazing! Once a week I like using the Goldwell Kerasilk mask because especially during summer our hair gets damaged quickly and needs some extra moisture and love. This mask is seriously my life saver and I will be devastated once I will run out of it. It leaves my hair so, so soft even though it is so difficult to achieve this result for...

My Recent Hair Product Haul

Image
So recently I was a bit too early for uni so I went to the drugstore to kill some time (which is always a bad idea) and I ended up leaving the shop with some new hair products. And I thought I'd show them to you today. :) I bought three different products, from three different brands and not all of them are so new to me to be honest. The first product I found interesting is the Aussie Aussome Volume conditioner. It is suitable for fine, flat hair ( which I don't necessarily have, but I still wanted to try it out). It is supposed to push up your hair and make it look more voluminous and on some days I really feel like my hair is flat and heavy and doesn't look too fresh even though I just dried it. For this reason I decided to try out this conditioner to get the effect I want to achieve. ( I only used it now but my hair is still in the towel so it's hard to tell yet, but I guess I will update you on it at some point!) I'm not 100% sure about the sme...

My Summer Hair Care

Image
This summer turned out to be incredibly hot with plenty of sunshine here in Poland, which is pretty good because I get a tan and look healthier, but for my hair it's probably not the best thing in the world. Today I wanted to show you which products I use to keep my hair in the best condition possible ( I hope!). So, first of all, my hair already got pretty long by the end of June, so I knew I needed to cut it again because I had split ends and the ends were basically pretty dry and my hair didn't look that pretty any more. Personally, I prefer healthier to longer hair. Yes, I do want to have long hair, but I want it to be healthy and beautiful. I cut my hair in the second/third week of July, and I got about 10 cm chopped off, which made my hair look much nicer already. This was basically my first step to taking care of my hair during summer. While being by the seaside ( before cutting my hair), I bought some different hair masks to try out and I also got a new conditione...

Beauty Products I Can't Live Without!

Image
Today I was thinking about products I really use so much that I could absolutely not live without them and decided to write a short blog post about them. I chose wisely, I think, and if I was not allowed to use anything else, I hope that those things would satisfy me. So, most of them are face realted as you can tell. First of all - mascara.  When I first started using make-up when I was 12-13, I started with mascara. For a long time I didn't use anything else until I started getting some spots and had to use concealer too. I feel much more confident when wearing mascara because since my eyes are like I often say quite small and in primary people even called me "Chinese" because of them. Well, to open up my eyes I feel like mascara works the best. My lashes are pulled up and if the mascara is good, like this Perversion from Urban Decay or Roller Lash by Benefit, they stay up all day and my eyes look more awake and alive. Even when I'm ill and have to go...

Packing For Travelling Part 2

Image
I've announced that I will show you a little bit of what I'm going to pack for my stay in Austria and Poland and of course, I won't be there for long so I decided to keep my luggage to the minimum because maybe I want to buy myself something and would prefer to keep some free space for new stuff. I've packed 2 festive dresses and my denim skirt. To pair with the skirt I picked one blouse and I will try and a crop top. To throw over the dresses I also put my Zara cardigan in. My jeans are still on the radiator but I am planning on wearing them and the chunky white jumper for the journey itself. I also packed two pairs of tights, some pairs of socks, underwear, all my make-up and jewellery. I still need to pack one pair of flats, my Fossil bag, the sweets for the kids and random bits and bobs that I will need to take but won't pack them yet. Sorry for the disgusting carpet. I wish we had laminate floors in our room. :( I really hope that I will ma...

What's in my Bag? - Day in Town

Image
I've done such a post already last summer when I was here in Scotland, using the same bag. But I thought since it's getting springy again, I would do an update, even though not much has changed. Still, I'm using this bag the most when going to town or to the shop. It's because the size is so practical, it holds everything I need outside the house, but I don't overpack it, what I usually do with bigger bags, which makes them even heavier (logic.). I also like the caramel, light brown colour of the leather and the fact that it has crossbody strap. It is also from Fossil, which is probably my favourite bag brand, even though I only have one so far, but I just like their styles so much and am dying to get more, but they are a bit pricey and I just can't afford to get one whenever I want just now at the moment. I unfortunately got a little light patch on the front flap ages ago and I have no idea where it came from and when it happened. It frustrates me a l...

January Favourites | Beauty & Hair

Image
Maybe it's a bit late, but I still decided to add a post about my favourite beauty products after a long while of not sharing them. I picked five products that I thought I loved a lot throughout January. Starting with hair, I have to say that I finally found the perfect shampoo for me. And it is definitely not new to me! I've been using this for years back in Austria and thought of trying out something new over here in the UK. But the last two TRESemme shampoos I've tried disappointed me a lot, the Ultra Doux from Garnier wasn't good either and when I've ran out of shampoo one day, I quickly grabbed this one from Pantene Pro-V in the supermarket. I chose the smooth&silk version, since my hair is prone to frizz and it looks damaged, which it not necessarily is. After using it only once, I knew that this shampoo is perfect for my hair and that I should continue using it. Using it is so easy, my hair doesn't stick together, it lets the water through, it ...

Make-Up of the Day

Image
Today I felt like having a bit more of make-up on my face and as the weather was nice- not windy, so my hair wouldn't stick to my lips, my eyes wouldn't tear, it was just a good opportunity. The products I've used, that are the most visible in this look are here: My Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in the shade Happy Nude Year, my favourite eyeliner, which is the Lasting Drama Black Shock gel liner from Maybelline, and my current favourite mascara, which is the Urban Decay Perversion one. After a long day, my spot got visible again, and I didn't try to cover it up for the photos any more. It's just a spot, and I can't do anything about it, so let's just don't care about it. My lips are pretty coral colour- I've used two layers of the matte lip gloss/ not gloss whatever, and I really like how long it stays on. You can already tell that it is fading on the inner side of my lips, but again, I didn't want to fix it any more. On my eyes ...

My Thoughts on Dry Shampoo

Image
Many of you will already know, from my previous hair posts or just from "real life", that I have quite thick hair, and it is long as well. For this reason I am not able to wash my hair every day. It also doesn't get greasy for about two days, so I wash it usually twice a week if possible. On the third day I already feel like I need to wash my hair but sometimes I just don't have enough time in the morning and wait until the evening. However, I feel very uncomfortable and even though people tell me that my hair looks clean and just shiny, I can't stand the feeling of dirty hair. On these days I grab my Batiste dry shampoo, which is cherry scented and try to handle my hair somehow before I leave the house. Everyone seems to love dry shampoos, but I have mixed feelings about them. First of all I have to say that I always have one at home, just in case. I like the smell of this one and I also like how you can still smell it after hours of wearing it. But, I nev...

Tangle Teezer The Original

Image
Today after College I quickly went to Boots and saw this beautiful pastel lilac and baby pink Tangle Teezer, all on his own on the shelf. This time I couldn't resist any more, especially because it is a pastel coloured brush and I've only seen neon ones before. And it was the last one in the shop. I have to say that I wanted one for ages now but always decided to use my Nashi Argan "tangle teezer" for as long as possible. Since I've used it over a year now, I see that the brussels have already lost their original shape and are a bit banana shaped by now ( they are not so straight any more). I really like it because it has a handle, which is very practical and it also does a great job in general. For this reason I will try not to overuse my real Tangle Teezer for now. I bought a Tangle Teezer for two of my cousins and they both said they really liked them and they have curly hair. So I thought that it needs to be a bit different than my current one if they like...
