An Unexpected Eyeshadow Palette Favourite | Too Faced

Image
During my stay in Poland I accidentally found a TkMaxx and I just couldn't pass it without having a look through the beauty section. And I am so lucky I went in. Seeing the Too Faced Cat Eyes palette I grabbed it quickly before anyone else spotted it and I knew it had to be mine. Cat eyes. My eyes look the best with some winged eyeliner and touch of a coppery, or darker shade, just to give them more definition. Now, this palette has all the colours I need, I just need to add some black eyeliner and I'm good to go. This palette is perfect for autumn and winter and I was actually looking for a new palette for some time already, but just didn't find what I needed. I wanted both the copper and silver & black, but this somehow never gets offered in one palette. This palette however gives you three colour combinations you can go for, depending on what occasion, how heavy you want your make-up to be etc. I actually never use eyeshadow on a daily basis because...

Make-Up Of The Day | Beauty

Image
I always want to show how I did my make-up but then again I want to film a full tutorial. But, unfortunately I have no time for filming and editing such a video just now (also no good light and quite space to film etc). So, I thought I'd at least show some pictures of the make-up and the products I've used. If you really want a video like this, just let me know and I'll see what I can do. Also, don't forget to check out THIS video, because it is great! Sadly, I have to admit that my skin got quite terrible lately and it seems not to get better but worse. My forehead is full with spots, my eyelids, cheeks and nose too. You can also tell I have many dry patches and that the make-up just doesn't look flawless. I don't really know why it happened suddenly but I definitely want to make sure I go to a specialist and stop the development of more spots that will leave behind scars. For my lashes, I used the new Benefit Roller Lash mascara, which works pretty ...

Latest Beauty Buys | New In

Image
I used to write collective hauls at the end of every month because I thought I wouldn't have too many things to show and now I somehow prefer to show the things straight away after I buy them, just because they are new and I don't forget to talk about all the things I got over the last month. But again, lately I don't just walk into Boots and pick 5 things at once, but mostly buy just what I need at the moment really. And for this reason I decided to quickly share with you the things I got over the last two weeks, since I didn't update you about them yet. I have five things here and two of them are products I've already had. On Friday I went to M&S and saw this cute little box of soap roses and couldn't resist them. I carried them around for a long while around the shop and eventually decided to really buy them. They look so pretty in their little box that I don't even want to take them out to be honest! They are scented with top notes of gardenia,...

The Base Of My Face

Image
After a long time of trying out different powders, bronzer and concealer I think I finally found the kind of perfect base make-up for my skin. I'm not saying that it couldn't be better, but I am quite happy with the effect. This is basically my make-up routine, without the eye make-up obviously. The first step is concealer- I use the lightest shade of the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer and am quite happy with it, even though it still doesn't cover my under eye circles completely. I also use it on all the spots and my nose. The second step is powder - I use the Bourjois Healthy balance one in the shade 53 and am in love with it! I actually hit the den already some time ago and need to make sure I get a new one soon. It gives my skin a nice colour and my pale skin looks better immediately. After that I use my Bourjois Delice de Poudre bronzer in the shade 52, to define my cheek bones and then swipe it lightly all over my face.  Once bronzing is done I t...

The Real Techniques Core Collection | Review

Image
Some time ago I ordered myself the Core Collection of the Real Techniques brushes and I showed them here , once they arrived. Now I thought that it is already time to tell you something about them and to show you what I use them for. So these are the four brushes; the pointed foundation brush, the detailer brush, the buffing brush and the contour brush. As I already said in the first entry, this set is made to help you create the base of your make-up. The brussels of the buffing and contour brush are soft and they are easy to use with powders for example. The heads of the foundation and detailer brush are flat and not so soft any more, but they still do their job. So, each of the brushes has the brand name written on the handle, and on the opposite side you can find the name of the given brush. And I just realised that on one of the brushes, the writing started fading, which doesn't make me too happy, as I thought that would stay pretty and not go cra...

My Everyday Make-Up Routine

Image
To create this look, I use so many products and you can't even really tell, because I think that this make-up looks so natural! Even though I just recently uploaded a quite similar post, which is here , I thought I'd do this look as well, because I use slightly different products.   First I of course, use my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in the shade 02 Cool Medium , which is at the moment a bit too dark for me and leaves orange patches on my face, but I try to finish it off before buying the lighter shade. I use the Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush to blend all of the product in as nicely as possible. Then I use my Bourjois Healthy Balance compact powder in shade 53 Light Beige , and the EcoTOOLS Tapered Brush to apply it all over my face. The next step is bronzer, which I use a lot especially in winter. I still use the Bourjois Delice de Poudre bronzing powder in shade 52 , also using the Tapered Brush from EcoTOOLS . Once I'm ha...

The Real Techniques Core Collection Brushes

Image
Last week I managed to order myself these beauties, that will hopefully help me with my make-up as I really needed some proper brushes. Now today, I finally had the chance to pick them up from the Delivery Office and now I just came home and opened them.  Well, so this is the core collection, which is made for the base, like foundation, concealer, contouring and so on. So I thought, if it is a base collection, it would be good to have these first.  They come in a handy case, that can be quickly transformed into a stand, with two additional spaces. I think the brushes themselves look really pretty and I like that the names of the brushes are written on the handles above the matte black ends. I haven't tried them yet, but tomorrow morning I finally will and I will find out how good they are, as I've only heard nice feedback about them. If they will convince me, I will try to get as many Real Techniques brushes as possible. Well, at least once I have the money for them. ...
