First Day Of College

Image
Well, the time has come. School's just begun again. But this time it is slightly different than it was over the last few years.  Today I had my induction day in college and it was a new experience to me. Obviously, school in Scotland is a bit different from school in Austria. It is not what I know and it surely is confusing at the moment. The first different thing is that this school year started for me today, on the 25th of August. Now usually school always started in September for me. Also, the language is a different one and this means that even the easiest organisational things are more complicated for me to understand sometimes. It's not a big deal for me as I know that language is the smallest issue to me and that I will get used to it with time and I will also learn it. Once I arrived at the Sighthill Campus today with Eryk I was a bit nervous because of the new situation. Eryk helped me find my class room and there were already some people waiting inside. What confus...

Make-up Remover Comparison Coming Soon

Image
Last time we went to ASDA I've found the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water still on sale and my house mate had bought it already weeks ago and said she liked it. I didn't want to buy it back then as I still haven't finished the Bioderma Micellar Water at this time and my Simple eye make-up remover was waiting in our closet to be used after the Bioderma is empty. Now last time I decided that there is only half of my Simple make-up remover left and I thought that I could buy something new as I had the opportunity. I always like it to know that I still have another bottle of shampoo, conditioner, tooth paste, face cleanser etc left. So I purchased the Garnier Micellar water. I haven't used it yet and I won't until my current one is an empty product. I know that this can take a while until I actually will be able to compare all three of the face cleansers, but I thought that I could at least let you know that I am planning on writing such a post in some weeks time. ...

Sightseeing And Snacking?

Image
Today we again had to wake up at seven to be ready to leave the house at half past seven. We had to get something done in town and on our way back home we took a route I've never been before. I saw so many new areas, shops and buildings and I enjoyed it so much, even tough we were just sitting on our bus. When we then finally arrived in our house after about an hour we had small pizzas that we bought at Morrisons while waiting for our bus to come. Eryk had not much time as he had to leave for work soon. Then I quickly cleaned up after lunch and now I'm talking to my cousin on Skype. In the evening I'll pick up Eryk from work and again we need to go to be early to have lots of energy tomorrow. Also, I should revise some Spanish later on as my course starts on Tuesday already! I am totally in love with all the churches in Edinburgh. There are sooo many of them, there are even sometimes two standing next to each other! Wikipedia told me that there are 40 churches in Edinb...

Super Busy Day

Image
I am so sorry that I didn't manage to upload any post earlier and that I didn't prepare a nice topic to write about for today but we've been busy literally all day long. We got up at 7 as Eryk needed to go to work and I went to his old house and helped his mum with some cooking, which took us about three hours or so to finish. I also got to see Eryk's baby sister for the first time (FINALLY!), and she is already nearly four months old! Also, I saw Karina and Paige as well when they came home from school. In the late afternoon Eryk and Patryk picked me up and we had to go and sort out some things about Eryk's college. And after that we finally came home for some minutes, and soon we had to leave as we needed to do some grocery shopping again. Of course, once going to ASDA you'll spend like an hour there until you actually can go back to the car park. So we just arrived at home about thirty minutes ago and we unpacked all our bags and also thanks to Eryk's mu...

Cutest Baby Ferret And Cooking Skills

Image
Today I woke up and it was raining nearly all day long. Eryk and I stayed at home and all we did was being lazy, eating snacks, playing with Maya, playing games and instagramming. In the afternoon I decided to cook something and all I did was just a tasty cheese and bacon pasta bake. It is such a simple, quick meal, but so tasty at the same time! My belly is still so full that I can't move too much. Now Eryk is at work for the next four hours and I will spend another lonely, lazy evening in front of the computer watching some series and eating crisps. At least I finally managed to revise some French earlier today because in 5 days I will have my first day of my French course and I thin it would be better if I'm going to be prepared well. Also, tomorrow I am going to revise some Spanish as this course starts in 4 days already. Oh dear, I will have four days of college a week and I will also need to work! Thank god the courses are only about 2 hours a day. Look at this cutie ...

Empty Products

Image
It's been a while since I've written an empties post, so here are the products I've used up during my summer holidays. I collected eight different products this time and there are already some empties-to-be in my beauty products already! I bought this small bottle of Bioderma in February but didn't use it every day as at home I always used make-up removing wipes. But there have been days when I just preferred using some liquid cleanser. And I've had a big bottle of Bioderma already earlier on so I knew I'd love it. When I went on holidays to Poland and when I travelled to Scotland I was using my Bioderma on a daily basis and I was really happy with how it worked on my skin. My skin wasn't irritated or something and the make-up was removed very quickly and easily as well. I actually don't know where I can get Bioderma in the UK, but I would definitely repurchase it any time. Currently I'm using the Simple make-up remover, which I was already...

Trip To Bangour Village Hospital

Image
Today we woke up earlier again, I washed my hair and after having a small snack me, Eryk and our house mates went on a long trip. We first needed to find our way to Dechmont as we wanted to see the Bangour Village Hospital. We don't exactly know what different buildings there are, but we know that it was a psychiatric hospital from 1904 until 2004. Now this place is empty and all you can find is many many closed down beautiful buildings. It is a bit spooky but also very fascinating. We first had to walk through the woods to actually get to the whole complex. We spent there about five hours and the weather was really great. The boys were checking the buildings out together and we, the girls had the cameras and snacks and we made our way to see as many buildings as possible. Some of them are surrounded by metal fences so that we couldn't go and see through the windows what's inside. And to give you an image of how our trip looked like, here are many photos for you! Also, he...
