Bourjois Delice De Poudre | Review

Some time ago I bought myself an addition to my Bourjois Delice De Poudre bronzer, the Delice De Poudre Duo bronzer and highlighter.
I've been using it for about a month or so and I thought it is about time to write a little review about both products.

Let's start with the basic bronzer that I got in shade 52. There is also the slightly lighter shade 51, but as my complexion is usually not that light I went for the 52 and to be honest I do need a lot of it to actually make my skin look darker. I really like this bronzer and so far I didn't think of changing it.
I really like the cute packaging, that looks like a little book, and also the chocolate smell. What I also like so much is that I got this one now more than a year ago, when I came back from my summer holidays in Scotland, and I've been using it nearly every single day. Of course not on the days I didn't wear any make-up at all, but that's not happening too often for sure!
As I've been using it constantly, someone could think that it should already get empty, but no! There is still so much of it left, and yes, you can see that I am definitely using it, but you can't see the bottom of the packaging yet.
Lots of girls, women, say that it is very nicely pigmented and to be honest, that's what I also always thought. But somehow with time I feel like it is more and more difficult to get the bronzed look quickly. I just need some time to define my cheek bones and I use such an amount of it that you could think I'm already looking totally weird or something. But in fact it doesn't really make any difference, of course my face looks way better with bronzer and I will keep using it, but I am trying to say that now it is not as pigmented any more as it used to be. At least in my opinion, or at least it's my bronzer that does this.
I am not too sure if it is a bad thing or not, because my face is not tanned any more, it is really pale again and this bronzer is good for not making yourself look cakey after just one brush stroke. So, for pale skin it is surely a good thing that you can build up the colour slowly, being able to control it to not look horrible after applying it.
So, yes, I will still use it, at least until I won't find anything better than that.

And now, over to the bronzer with the highlighter part. There is only one shade available, it's the 55. There is also another bronzer of this collection but I don't have it and won't buy it as I think that it is only useful during summer as it is so shimmery and dark.
I decided not to use the bronzing part yet, as I have the basic one and don't want to use both of them at the same time. I always apply the highlighter underneath my eyebrows, in the inner corner of my eyes, at the bridge of my nose, on my cheeks (where the light hits your face naturally or whatever they say), and on my Cupid's bow. Now this is still very pigmented, but again, you won't make look yourself horrible quickly. It will really only slightly show up for example in the inner corners of your eyes. That's where you can see it most on my face.
I've used quite a lot of it already, but I am sure that it will also last for a long long time.
I would also say that you could even use it as a very delicate, light eye shadow, instead of a proper one, let's say if you don't have one but need one.

So, this is how the bronzer and highlighter look when you swatch them:

The look very pigmented, but once you use a nice brush for them, I use two from EcoTOOLS, they will actually look delicate and pretty on your face.

So, all in all, I'd say for 8 pounds each they are really really great products, considering that it will take you ages to empty them and that they are easy to use.

What do you think? Have you tried them? If yes, what is your opinion? Let me know in the comments!

    1. Thank you!
Depending on where you live. In Austria bourjois has been discontinued ,so you can't find them anywhere over there. I know that in Poland you can buy them in bigger drugstores like SuperPharm and in the UK you get them in superdrug for example . :)
