Make-Up Of The Day | Beauty

Image
I always want to show how I did my make-up but then again I want to film a full tutorial. But, unfortunately I have no time for filming and editing such a video just now (also no good light and quite space to film etc). So, I thought I'd at least show some pictures of the make-up and the products I've used. If you really want a video like this, just let me know and I'll see what I can do. Also, don't forget to check out THIS video, because it is great! Sadly, I have to admit that my skin got quite terrible lately and it seems not to get better but worse. My forehead is full with spots, my eyelids, cheeks and nose too. You can also tell I have many dry patches and that the make-up just doesn't look flawless. I don't really know why it happened suddenly but I definitely want to make sure I go to a specialist and stop the development of more spots that will leave behind scars. For my lashes, I used the new Benefit Roller Lash mascara, which works pretty ...

The Base Of My Face

Image
After a long time of trying out different powders, bronzer and concealer I think I finally found the kind of perfect base make-up for my skin. I'm not saying that it couldn't be better, but I am quite happy with the effect. This is basically my make-up routine, without the eye make-up obviously. The first step is concealer- I use the lightest shade of the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer and am quite happy with it, even though it still doesn't cover my under eye circles completely. I also use it on all the spots and my nose. The second step is powder - I use the Bourjois Healthy balance one in the shade 53 and am in love with it! I actually hit the den already some time ago and need to make sure I get a new one soon. It gives my skin a nice colour and my pale skin looks better immediately. After that I use my Bourjois Delice de Poudre bronzer in the shade 52, to define my cheek bones and then swipe it lightly all over my face.  Once bronzing is done I t...

My OOTD: 12th of January 2015

Image
This morning I felt very tired and realised the weather was a complete mess once again. The heavy, terribly loud wind, rain and snow just didn't make feel like getting out of bed too soon. I was very cosy and warm underneath my blanket but had to get ready for College eventually. The outfit I chose was maybe not the warmest one as I found out on my way, but I pretty much liked it. I tried to keep it simple when it comes to the choice of colours and paired the outfit with my new Jack Wills shopper to brighten up this very grey day, with a pop of florals. denim skirt: House, white crochet jumper: H&M, tights: Gatta, boots: Gold Boot, shopper: Jack Wills Accidentally walked into Eryk, while he was still taking pictures of me, so here's a close-up of my really tired face. You can't really see my pretty eyeliner ( doesn't happen too often), but yeah, I used my Maybelline Lasting Drama Black Shock gel liner to do it, my Urban Decay Perversion mascara and fo...

Two Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascaras | Mascara Comparison

Image
Today I would like to show you two mascaras I have at the moment, which come from the Rimmel Scandaleyes range. One of them is the green one, which I've already had three times. It's full name is Scandaleyes Lycraflex Mascara. I am actually running out of the one in the pictures below so yesterday while shopping at ASDA I just decided to quickly grab a mascara and I just took the black and orange Volumeflash Scandaleyes Mascara in Extreme black. They seemed quite identical to me so I thought why not take one? After using the new one only once I can tell a little difference and decided to tell you a teeny bit about it. The first difference is obviously the name and colour of the packaging, but the shape of it is the same. Also, the price is nearly the same as far as I know. However, I found that you can't see find the green one too often lately, which makes me a bit sad. The wands look identical I'd say. You can tell that the orange one has more product on it...

Monthly Beauty Favourites | November

Image
Oh dear, November is already coming to an end, Christmas is nearly here and I still didn't manage to get all the Christmas gifts yet. This month will apparently be a very busy one I can already tell! But now we can do something nice, check out my favourite beauty products of November. Most of them are new, and I love them. Let's start with the Wet'n'Wild blush in Pearlescent pink. It is so pigmented that you really need to be careful with it. But I just used it twice or so and I already got asked if I changed something in my make-up routine as my face looks more colourful now. So, yes, I started using a bit of blush, additionally to the bronzer I always use. I use my Real Techniques Stippling brush to apply it to my cheeks and I just gently dip the brush into the powder blush because I don't want to look too pink. Mine comes in a package with a tiny mirror and a flat brush, but as I said, I use one from Real Techniques as I find it's shape very appropriate...
