Girls Day Out

Image
Today my housemate Ela and I went to town together as she needed some comfy shoes and me a white blouse for work. We went to Princes Street and popped in to Primark, Boots and Schuh. Afterwards we also went to ASDA with her boyfriend and we did the usual grocery shopping. Today I bought myself a pair of Mel's (FINALLY!), two towels, a small purse for lose change, a small flower crown for buns, the white blouse for work and we decided to get some Soap&Glory stuff together. Boots has currently the 3 for 2 offer on Soap&Glory products and we just decided that we'd buy three things and we would use them together, so we would save up even more. We spent quite a while there because we just couldn't decide on what to buy. In the end we went for the Sugar Crush body scrub, Sugar Crush body wash and the Glad Hair Day hair conditioner. We haven't tried any of these products yet, but they all smell SOO GOOD that we just can't wait to use them.  The Glad H

Snacking And Checking Out The Area

Image
Well, so here in the UK there are so many more different snacks than in Austria that I don't even know what to try and what not and we just always end up with some new sweets in our cupboard after every grocery shopping. I mean, I really like sweets and I could probably survive without any other food if I wanted to. Today is a stormy day, the skies are grey and it is raining a bit. Not a day you'd enjoy walking around town or something. Although in the morning we wanted to go to the beach as it was sunny and only a bit windy. But it got worse every minute basically. So I've been sitting in my bed, playing Geometry dash, doing crosswords, baking muffins later on and now cooking. We actually did go for a walk some time ago and it wasn't cold, but really really windy. Oh, and by the way, we found out that the Edinburgh Airport is not that far away from where we live. You can actually see the tower and we were watching planes land! So cool! We were just generally checking

Non-Beauty Favourites: July

Image
Alright, yesterday I showed you the beauty products I loved using in July. Today you'll see all the other things I've been totally obsessed with lately. As I've moved to Scotland recently, I first needed to find out what drinks, snacks and so on I'd like. When I went to ASDA, Sainsbury's, Co-Operative, Scotmid or TESCO there were always ALL kinds of Coca Cola, Pepsi, Fanta, Sprite and Irn Bru. All kinds of fizzy drinks. But there is no Nestea anywhere. No not-fizzy drinks apart from Orange juice and Apple juice. At least I haven't found any other yet, only the Innocent juices which I keep buying. In Vienna I also liked Emotion flavoured water and I could drink it every day (even though it's fizzy). And now I thought that maybe I could find some flavoured water here and this is what I found. Actually the only brand that probably makes flavoured water here. The Volvic volcano water is not fizzy (which is great!) and there are some different flavours yo

Monthly Beauty Favourites: July

Image
This months slowly comes to an end and as always at this time I'm showing you all the products I loved using during this month, to show you new products you would maybe enjoy and so on. The first thing is my sugar scrub from Bielenda. This is a Polish product and when I saw it in a magazine I just knew I needed it. So once I saw it in a shop, I got it and I have been really happy with it. As my skin got extremely dry over the last two months (and I mean REALLY dry!) I needed a really good scrub and now I can say that this surely is one. It has an amazingly refreshing smell ( actually you can chose from peach, raspberry and cherry, I have the cherry one obviously), it is pink and after using it, it leaves a slightly greasy layer on your skin, which is basically moisturising and not greasy any more once you dried your skin with a towel. Your skin is surprisingly smooth and soft afterwards.  (Just to show you what I mean by dry) I actually used quite big portions at fir

Second Scotland Haul

Today I went to town again because I needed to exchange some money, but of course I went to the shops as well. I needed black shoes and a bikini, so I got these things, but I also got a crop top and another dress. I still need some other things but I can't find them and this really drives me crazy, but I will find them, I will. I only took some pictures of the clothes to show you what I got, but I didn't take any pictures wearing them. I will just upload OOTD's with the things and maybe link them to this post. When I arrived in town there were so many clouds and it even started raining a bit, but soon the sun came out and the sun was so hot that I was sweating in my cardigan and jeggings. Did you know that there are mountains everywhere around Edinburgh? I think they look really spectacular somehow. Alright, I bought myself some Vans Authentic Lo Pro -again! I need black shoes for work and I didn't want to wear flat ballets or Converse with a thick w
