Empty Products - Face

Image
Last week turned out to be busier than I expected, which is why I didn't manage to upload the last "empties" post. But now I am back with the face category. I threw away the Catrice Camouflage concealer because it was in the empties before pretty often, but I can say that it is one of the best drugstore concealers, sold at a good price. It does cover up some spots and redness as well as light undereye circles, but it could still be better. FACE CLEANSERS One of the best make-up removers I have tried in the last few months is the Garnier Skin Active micellar water, which consists of two "layers"- the micellar water and the oil, which makes it easier tot ake off waterproof make-up. I have tried all the other Garnier micellar waters before but unfortunately, they leave behind the worst smell on my skin, which I already mentioned in this post . When I found this one, I was so happy because it actually has a beautiful scent. It takes off my make-up prett...

July Beauty Favourites

Image
I was sitting on my sofa, sipping my tea and I realised that I didn't write about any "Favourites" in months, so I decided to quickly grab my camera and do that now because this month I have some new exciting things to show you that I absolutely loved using throughout the whole month. I collected favourites from make-up, skin care, as well as hair care, so let's get straight into it. Starting off with hair, I picked one special product that I finally wanted to review. In December I received a little parcel from Goldwell with a shampoo and a hair mask that suit my hair perfectly. I was using the shampoo straight away and I absolutely loved it. However, due to all the uni stress and the terrible lack of time for myself, I never got to try out the mask until May or June I would say. And since I went swimming and tanning a lot throughout July, I decided to use the mask once a week to keep my hair silky smooth and healthy. And OMG, I am so in love with it...

New In: Maybelline Mascara

Image
I hate buying mascaras. I really do.  You know when you see all those ads with obviously fake lashes? Of course mascara won't make your lashes look like the ones from the ads. But then, what can you actually expect? This is always my biggest problem. You hear of new beauty products all the time but you can never really know how they will work on you unless you try them out. When I went to the drugstore recently to stock up on new mascara I didn't quite know which one I should choose. My favourite drugstore mascara is the green Rimmel Scandaleyes Lycraflex one, which they don't sell here in Austria.  But then the Maybelline counter attracted me with their sign "1+1 free" and I was like: well, you can try out two at the price of one. That can't really go too wrong. So I ended up leaving the shop with two new mascaras- the Maybelline Colossal Volum' and the Colossal Go! Extreme. I have to say that when the Colossal Volum' first came out ages ...

My November Favourites

Image
November is already coming to an end, which means that Christmas time is pretty much an official thing now, even though it doesn't feel like it's nearly December already. I am a bit nervous and not too excited for the time before Christmas actually since I'll have my uni exams and I am still not prepared and so stressed out. That's also the reason why I don't get to blog too much recently- I just have so much to study all day long! But today is a good day to share my November Beauty Favourites with you. ( It looks like I'm actually ill because of some suspicious symptoms but I will find out more later in the afternoon when I go to the GP, which means that I don't go to uni today I think, and that's why I have time to write this entry) I've used the products below pretty much daily over the last weeks of November and most of them aren't new, but I had a little break from them and kind of "rediscovered" the this month. I...

My OOTD: Fluffy Jumper And Cosy Coat

Image
Hello everyone! I am really sorry that I wasn't here for a while now, but uni somehow gets pretty stressful just now with all the upcoming exams. I try to study every spare minute because it is so much that I have to know that I'd like to cry and stay in bed all day long. Today I'm again off to a lecture but I decided to show you my outfit before I go. I actually wanted to take photos outside but I'm alone and there's nobody who could help me. And after uni the light will already be too bad to get nice snaps. ( Although I have to say that the quality of those photos is pretty bad too) I decided to wear my cosy coat today again, because it is cooling down again after all those pretty hot days. But I'm wearing Vans to not look too wintery. creme cosy coat - Primark fluffy pastel jumper - Only high waisted jeans - Topshop shoes - Vans I got this jumper a few days ago and I'm in love! It's actually tight on the skin and you can really feel ...

My Favourite Autumn Eye Shadows

Image
You probably know that I am not much of an eyeshadow person when it comes to everyday make-up. However, autumn made me feel like I need to wear more make-up to add some colour to the grey, blurry days. So I actually started using eyeshadow pretty often now, even though it takes me such a long time to get ready in the mornings. I got to love my Urban Decay Naked On The Run palette, and also the Maybelline New York Eyestudio Intense Chic Palette in 01 Vivid Pinks. Apart from powder shadows, I also spoke about my Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Sticks (Sand Dune & Violet Plum) in my latest  make-up video , as well as my September Favourites . First of all I need to say that their packagings already look so nice and they are just exactly what I need. No unnecessary shades that I would ignore because I wouldn't like them.  I love that both palettes are created the way that they already have all shadows needed to create a lot of different looks without having to...

My Current Make-Up Routine

Image
I always wanted to film some make-up videos but I don't have a good tripod nor good light to film such nice close up's. So even if I try to take make-up pictures it is extremely difficult to capture the make-up. I basically look very, very weird on such close up pictures and then I always decide better not to do make-up posts because I am just so bad at them. But today I thought I'd show you what I usually apply to my face in the morning and how it looks like after a whole day of running around in the rain, trying to find something without big success. To start with, I use the REN vita Mineral Active 7 Eye Gel around my eyes and sometimes I also feel like moisturising, so I also use my Tolpa mattifying face cream, but usually I do in the evenings. Then, I use my Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in the shade 010 Ivory - I apply it underneath my eyes, on all the spots and red bits of my face. Once I'm done with that, I use my Bourjois Healthy Balance powder in 53 an...

Historic Edinburgh Vlog

Image
I spent my day off wandering around town, exploring a bit again since the weather was pretty nice for a change. I am so fascinated by Edinburgh's historic part of the city and every single time I am there I feel like I'm back in the medieval times for some reason. Today I even went to see a bit of the Castle, and I've never been before so I was very excited. I think I'd like to go on a Castle tour once but apparently it is pricey. I took some pictures for you and hope you'll enjoy them. In the meanwhile I'm uploading the vlog and will need to leave the house in about 15 minutes to pick up Eryk from work as we want to spend some time together before the weekend, since I'll be working. Oh, and here's a photo of my eye. I thought my lashes looked really nice today! I've used Urban Decay's Perversion mascara if you're wondering... HERE'S THE VLOG! -Olivia ~08.05.2015~

My Favourite Waterproof Make-Up Remover

Image
Today I wanted to talk a little bit about the remover I've been using since Christmas. Throughout the months I've found that it is really brilliant and that it is a product I would definitely repurchase at any time. The product I am speaking about is the INGLOT Waterproof make-up remover and it comes in different sizes, which can be pretty handy I've learned. I first got the smallest size, which is a tiny 25ml bottle and I've been using it basically every day since Christmas because I tend to wear eyeliner non stop. And I am surprised by the fact that you only need one drop to remove one line of waterproof liner! For this reason I still have about half of the tiny bottle left. It was also incredibly handy when traveling by plane because it didn't use much space in the handluggage liquids bag and as I said: A little goes a long way! Now this time, I've been treated to the full size of it, a 100 ml bottle, again from my amazing cousin who also got me the fi...

My 19th Birthday!

Image
I feel like my 18th Birthday was just some weeks ago, and now I am already officially 19! If you are curious about how things looked like exactly one year ago, click here ! Today I actually had to work from 9 until 6 in the evening, so I can basically say that I spent all day long at work, wasting my Birthday. For this reason it is not really such a special day, even though I do feel pretty excited and I don't even know why. Once I came home a "Happy Birthday" banner welcomed me in front of our room. When I came in I felt so emotional seeing all the pink balloons hanging around the walls and some more banners above the bed. I also got a box of Raffaello's, a beautiful card and a "Birthday Girl" rosette, which is super cute. Since Eryk is still at work and will be home late I will watch some series, have some tea and ice cream, because that's probably everything I am allowed to get from the kitchen. Eryk told me not to open the fridge until he'...
