Empty Products - Hair

Image
Today I want to start a short series of "Empties" as I have hoarded quite a lot of them now and even threw some away like my shampoo, which is still the same and has always been in my Empties before. Today's post will be about all the hair products I've used up over the last few months and the next days you will see empties from different categories like face and body products and make-up. CONDITIONERS The only two conditioners I have used up over the last few months are the L'Oreal Clay Conditioner and a keratin one by the Polish brand Joanna that I picked up when I ran out of conditioner when I visited Eryk back in September/October. Starting off with the clay conditioner by L'Oreal I have to say that it made my hair silky smooth and shiny and this was even the second one I got because I loved it so much. I was really impressed because usually my hair is kind of rough, it's never really smooth and it has never been but this conditioner re...

My Recent Hair Product Haul

Image
So recently I was a bit too early for uni so I went to the drugstore to kill some time (which is always a bad idea) and I ended up leaving the shop with some new hair products. And I thought I'd show them to you today. :) I bought three different products, from three different brands and not all of them are so new to me to be honest. The first product I found interesting is the Aussie Aussome Volume conditioner. It is suitable for fine, flat hair ( which I don't necessarily have, but I still wanted to try it out). It is supposed to push up your hair and make it look more voluminous and on some days I really feel like my hair is flat and heavy and doesn't look too fresh even though I just dried it. For this reason I decided to try out this conditioner to get the effect I want to achieve. ( I only used it now but my hair is still in the towel so it's hard to tell yet, but I guess I will update you on it at some point!) I'm not 100% sure about the sme...

My January Beauty Favourites

Image
The month is already nearly over and this means that it's time for the Beauty Favourites! I have them again in three different categories, so it's more organised. FACE The first product I want to show you is my Bioderma Sebium Global cream or also called the Intensive purifying care. This product has helped my skin immensely since I have very oily skin and therefore I have lots of stubborn blackheads that can't be removed even by using face scrubs ( which is very annoying!). So, I've been using this product every night after taking off my make-up and after some days I started seeing a change- my blackheads were almost gone and I didn't get as many spots as usual.  I am seriously impressed by this cream/serum, I just use a teeny tiny drop and spread it all over my T-zone usually, since that's the area that needs help. And it really works very well for me. What's good for you if you live in Austria- you can now get Bioderma products in sever...

Empty Products - Winter Months

Image
Hello everyone! I guess this is my last post before Christmas, even though I really wanted to do one about Christmas outfit ideas, like I did last year, but since I've already packed for Poland, I can't show you now what I want to wear this year. But I have to say that I packed all of those dresses , which means that most likely I'll wear exactly the same things that I did last year! But back to the topic of today's post: It's empties time again! I really waited until our last full day in Vienna before going to Poland to write this post ( finally!). I've collected way too many products this time, but this is due to the fact that I'm not doing empties posts regularly ( which is a big mistake). So let's start with make-up removers. I don't know how I managed to use up so many of them! My tiny Bioderma Sebium micellar water was emptied some time ago before I decided to finish off my Hydrabio one, because it was still half full. I really like...

My October Beauty Favourites Video

Image
Today I finally managed to film a video about my October Beauty Favourites, since I didn't manage to upload a post about them for such a long time. I hope it is still acceptable to have it up that late, but I wanted to make sure I actually do it, rather than not doing it at all in case someone was really curious! I would be really happy if you watched the video and if you'd give it a thumbs up! :) Enjoy! MY OCTOBER BEAUTY FAVOURITES Thank you for watching! :) -Olivia ~11.11.2015~

Autumn Empties (Face, Hair, Body)

Image
Hello everyone and welcome back on the blog! Since I'm so busy lately I don't even have enough time to blog properly, but today I decided it was time again to create some content for you. I actually wanted to film an empties video because I think it is just so much nicer, but until I managed to get this thing started it was already way too dark to film anything. So I decided go write some lines- still better than nothing. It's actually not too many empty products this time, but the boxn is surely full and ready to be emptied.  HAIR I used up my Batiste Eden dry shampoo and it really made me sad because Batiste is so expensive here in Vienna (and also hard to get). I also haven't seen this new scent over here yet, so this is even worse. Over the last few months (from August until now, the end of October) I've been using this about once a week. It helped me not washing my hair every two days on the hot days, but every third day and this was seriously lif...

August's Beauty Favourites

Image
I can't believe that the first week of September is already over and Summer is pretty much gone now. I felt like doing an August Favourite's post on beauty but didn't get to do it until now, so I hope you won't be too confused since it's a biiit late for that Maybe you'll find it my reviews helpful though. :) As you can see, I've collected a few things that I kept using over and over again during the Summer months, and especially during August. Starting with the first product top left: It's my beautyuk eyebrow kit which I got ages ago and used occasionally in the beginning. With time however, it got a product I've been using about twice a week or so. I have pretty weird eyebrows because the first half of them gets really out of control and then the second part kind of never grows. So my second half of brows is very thin and looks really bad - like 90's eyebrows you could say. Now over Summer, I feel like that thin part got a bit lighte...

My Poland Summer Haul | Stradivarius, Bioderma, Bourjois,...

Image
Hello everyone! As you already know, I spent my Summer holidays in Poland ( as usual) and I also got myself some things that I showed in my latest haul video! Definitely go and check it out below! I bought things in all the possible cathegories, like beautym fashion, home or jewelry, so I tried not to make the video too long and too boring. I'm happy with all my purchases and would surely buy more if I had more money but at the moment I should probably save up, get rid of stuff I don't wear and maybe then buy something new. This morning I went to the supermarket to get myself some breakfast and I found the Alpro Coconut& Rice drink I used to put in my porridge back in Edinburgh, so I got this. I also saw McVities Digestives and nearly cried because I've never seen them in Vienna before. I'm happy that we have them in shops now because they will remind me of my stay in the UK, which I already miss so much. Also, make sure to check out my latest vlog , wher...

Empty Products Of The Last Weeks

Image
This entry will actually be a long one, which I didn't really plan, but once I looked into the empties-bag, I got surprised by how many empty products I've collected lately. I'll just start, introducing the products in categories, since I think it's better this way. First- hair... I have 4 hair shampoos here, but two of them are the same ones but in different sizes. It is definitely my favourite shampoo, the Pantene Pro-V Smooth&Sleek. I've already mentioned it in other posts and I have to say that I've tried many different shampoos over the last year and this one is actually the only one that works on my hair! It cleans my hair well and doesn't make it sticky while washing. My hair looks pretty after washing and that's the important stuff. I have another one that I'm running out of but it's an enormous bottle compared to those two! Next I have the Garnier Ultra Doux shampoo I got in Poland since I've heard many good things ...

Latest Beauty Buys | New In

Image
I used to write collective hauls at the end of every month because I thought I wouldn't have too many things to show and now I somehow prefer to show the things straight away after I buy them, just because they are new and I don't forget to talk about all the things I got over the last month. But again, lately I don't just walk into Boots and pick 5 things at once, but mostly buy just what I need at the moment really. And for this reason I decided to quickly share with you the things I got over the last two weeks, since I didn't update you about them yet. I have five things here and two of them are products I've already had. On Friday I went to M&S and saw this cute little box of soap roses and couldn't resist them. I carried them around for a long while around the shop and eventually decided to really buy them. They look so pretty in their little box that I don't even want to take them out to be honest! They are scented with top notes of gardenia,...

My Thoughts on Dry Shampoo

Image
Many of you will already know, from my previous hair posts or just from "real life", that I have quite thick hair, and it is long as well. For this reason I am not able to wash my hair every day. It also doesn't get greasy for about two days, so I wash it usually twice a week if possible. On the third day I already feel like I need to wash my hair but sometimes I just don't have enough time in the morning and wait until the evening. However, I feel very uncomfortable and even though people tell me that my hair looks clean and just shiny, I can't stand the feeling of dirty hair. On these days I grab my Batiste dry shampoo, which is cherry scented and try to handle my hair somehow before I leave the house. Everyone seems to love dry shampoos, but I have mixed feelings about them. First of all I have to say that I always have one at home, just in case. I like the smell of this one and I also like how you can still smell it after hours of wearing it. But, I nev...

My Current Hair Care

Image
My hair has always been very special to me and I used to have really beautiful hair when I was little and I was never allowed to have long hair as washing it was just a torture for both, me and my mum. My hair was so thick that we needed to wash it layer for layer and it took ages to get it dry. People still say that my hair is so pretty and ask me how I manage to keep them so pretty but if they know what my hair used to be like, they are shocked that I've lost so much of it over the last years. I wouldn't say that my hair is not pretty, because it is but I am just used to the wow-volume and it makes me sad that these times are over. But that's the reason why I try to keep my hair healthy, to make it at least a bit nicer even though the volume is gone. I can now wear it longer and it is not such a big problem, although I still have quite thick and heavy hair and washing days are not my favourite. I think this is my favourite picture of my hair because it was curled...

Favourite Beauty Products | September

Image
As I published the Favourites post about other things, now it is time to talk about beauty. I really don't have many beauty products, only what I need. I would really love to have really excited beauty products but right now, I am not in such a good financial situation to buy whatever I'd like to. But still, I think that there are some changes from month to month, regarding preferred beauty products. 1) I am in love with the coconut lip calm from Yves Rocher. It is so soft and so creamy and it smells so nice as well. I use it so often during the day that it is nearly empty already, and I bought this one at the airport on my way to Scotland in April. This is actually my second lip balm of this scent and it surely is my most used one. I also have one that smells like raspberries but it is tinted so this one is better for on the go in my opinion. My lips are usually dry and I need to have lip care everywhere I go, so this one is always in my bag to protect my lips. 2)...

Small Beauty And Jewellery Haul

Image
Today Eryk and I went to the bakery in the morning to have so tasty breakfast in the park and again I forgot to take a picture of the cream apple turnover I had. It is so delicious but again I didn't eat all of it, but nearly! After our breakfast Eryk went back home and I took the bus to town as I wanted to buy myself a jumper, but I didn't find any that I'd like, so well. I bought the other things I needed and also found some small jewellery bits. Well, so I went to Boots, Topshop and Accessorize. In Topshop I found this beautiful midi-ring that is not closed, there is a small gap between the ball and the flower. The ball and the flower are shiny and I thought that this ring looks totally adorable.  Then in Accessorize I found the midi-ring with the pink heart on it and I thought that it was so cute and when I found out that it only costs 60p I had no other choice but to buy it immediately.  And last time when I was in Accessorize I saw this daisy brac...
