My January Beauty Favourites

The month is already nearly over and this means that it's time for the Beauty Favourites!
I have them again in three different categories, so it's more organised.

The first product I want to show you is my Bioderma Sebium Global cream or also called the Intensive purifying care.
This product has helped my skin immensely since I have very oily skin and therefore I have lots of stubborn blackheads that can't be removed even by using face scrubs ( which is very annoying!).
So, I've been using this product every night after taking off my make-up and after some days I started seeing a change- my blackheads were almost gone and I didn't get as many spots as usual.
I am seriously impressed by this cream/serum, I just use a teeny tiny drop and spread it all over my T-zone usually, since that's the area that needs help. And it really works very well for me.
What's good for you if you live in Austria- you can now get Bioderma products in several pharmacies all around Vienna ( and also some other cities)- just check this website for more info + to see my video I've filmed for Bioderma!

Next we have a new gel eyeliner by Manhattan that I got because I'm runnning out of my current one and I got it recommended by Julia ( who filmed the Bioderma video with me). I decided to give it a try and immediately liked it. It's more liquid than the one I have at the moment, which at first felt a bit unusual for me because I wasn't too sure whether it would be easy to apply or not. But in the end I actually figured out that it is easier to work with, because it glides on smoothly and it also has more of a glossy touch compared to the Rimmel gel liner I've been using until now.

And since my eyeliner brush was falling apart I also needed to get a new one and went for a more fancy one, hoping that this will last me for a long long time. I bought a Zoeva winged liner brush (317).
It's great so far and it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be so I didn't think twice when chosing it. It also works great with both of the gel liners I'm using at the time, so I'm really happy with it.

I've been loving the Soap&Glory Butter Yourself moisture lotion for ages but now that it's winter and my skin got really dry again, this has been my life saver and that's why I thought it is the best time to talk about it again.
First of all, it's so, so handy that this lotion comes in a 500ml bottle with a pump. I totally love the look of it and the application is so much easier because there is no way you will end up with too much product on your skin, not knowing where else to put it.
The smell is just divine, and even when I see the products in a shop I can already smell them. The ingredients are those ones: shea butter, orange waterjuice, fig pulp extract and almond, mango & moringa oils.
I love Soap&Glory for the fact that when I use any of their body moisturisers, I can tell that my body is hydrated for 24 hours if not even longer. Simply amazing. I know that those products are not necessarily the cheapest but they are so, so worth the price! If I could, I would get the whole Soap&Glory range and cry out of happiness! ( trust me).

I also included a fragrance this month, which is Chic Petals by Moschino that I got for Christmas. I've been wanting this for a few months now and then I could finally get it. I wrote a whole blog post about all the perfumes I got for Christmas this year, so make sure to go and read here what I think about this perfume cause I don't want to repeat myself too often. But I can say that I definitely love the design of it and the smell is fruity, sweet but not childish in any way- exactly what I was looking for.

And my two last products for today are my favourite hair shampoos at the moment.
I got the Batiste dry shampoo in Poland because I got a different one before and it didn't make any difference at all and since I don't want to wash my hair every two days, but every third day, I like to use a bit ( or a lot) of this dry shampoo and just put my hair up in a half up-do or braids or so.
It doesn't make my hair look like I just washed it, but it definitely looks better than the greasy hair.
I love the big can because it lasts me for so long, especially because I only use it not more than twice a week.
And my favourite shampoo is from the Goldwell Kerasilk range that I got a few weeks back.
When I first saw it, I fell in love because of the beautiful packaging, that just looks so luxurious I think.
I am a person that is very much into scents, so this shampoo is also a great one because of it's smell. When using it I feel like I'm in a professional salon and it just smells like a beautiful premium perfume. Another big plus for this product is that alerady in the process of washing I can feel the big difference it does to my hair. It gets silky and smooth and once it's all dry it is the softest it's ever been in my life. It is amazing!

Let me know if you've tried any of the products above! :)
Have a nice day everyone! :)

My Favourite Smoothie!

A few days back I wrote about how much I love my new Nutribullet because I just mix up all the fruits I like and have a delicious snack, which is healthy and definitely much better for my body than a bag of crisps.
I also showed already a smoothie I really like, but then I invented a new recipe and am seriously in love! So I wanted to share it with you. ;)

Those are the ingredients you need for 1 smoothie:
- some frozen raspberries
-1 kiwi
-1 tablespoon of Alpro blueberry yogurt
- 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
-1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
-a bit of maple syrup
-coconut&rice Alpro ( I use to fill the cup to the max-line)

Even the colour of the ready smoothie is so pretty!
I love the sweet-soury taste of it. It doesn't have a big variety of fruits. but the ones that are used are some of my favourites, so I am really happy.
This smoothie is also doesn't have such a thick consistency, which I also like a lot.

Let me know what you think about that combination!
I had it for breakfast today and was full for a few hours, which is very good because recently I tend to eat A LOT of things and I need to stop it because I don't feel well in my current body anymore.
That's why I hope smoothies will keep me full and away from bad snacks :D

PS: Look at the flowers I bought some weeks ago- they are so so pretty!!

Vlog Day!

Hello everyone!
It's already Sunday evening and I only managed to find some time now to edit the vlog and write down a short summary of the week.
We've had a very busy day, so I am sorry for not uploading anything earlier!

So, it was my mum's Birthday on Tuesday, so it was a nice beginning of the week to all of us. We spoilt her a little bit with a nice flower bouquet, fancy gifts and a cool cake that I baked and I also uploaded a recipe for it here! I went to town on Monday to get the gifts so that's why I didn't film anything to town - I was trying to focus on what I actually had to get done!
Apart from that it was snowing nearly all week long, which kind of looked nice ( when I could stay at home) but it drove me crazy when I had to get out into the cold.
On Friday I had a practice day at work ( since I left my previous job and was looking for a new one) and it looks like I'm gonna be working in February again.
In the evening my mum had some friends over and we were celebrating her birthday, and I again didn't film because it was just a family thing really and some people are not too keen on being on the Internet. ;)
Today we were very busy because we are working on a very big project and I think I will announce it in the next vlog, so make sure to check it out because it's gonna be exciting!

Hope you all had a nice week and I wish you a good start into the new week!

Once the vlog is uploaded I will link it here so you can go and watch it! :)

Here's me standing on a hill today with snowy Vienna behind my back. It was actually pretty warm today compared to the last two, three days, so the snow will be gone very soon I think.

Village Cosmetics Haul & Review

Hello everyone!
Today I'm back with some beauty things again and I hope you're just as excited about it as I am!
A few weeks back I got a parcel from Village Cosmetics, full of very cool beauty products to try and now I feel like it's the right time to talk about them.

In the parcel I found a Frollein Wunder shower cream that smells like lemon grass- fresh fruity, just as it says at the bottom of the tube! The design of this shower cream is so cute and it encourages you to sing in the shower! :D
The product moisturises your skin, leaving it soft and supple and the fresh lemon grass fragrance invigorates and lifts your spirits! This shower cream used in the morning, will surely give you an amazing start to the day!

Next I found a few Burt's Bees product that I didn't even expect and I got so excited about them!
I already have one lip balm by this brand and the nourishing product is just amazing!
The lip balm I received is made with mango butter and of course 100% natural. What is very cool, is that those lip balms come in so many different smell variations that it is really hard to choose one!
Burt's Bees products are so good because they contain lots of ingredients produced by bees, like Gelee Royale, honey and bees wax, plus oils, fruit extracts or minerals. What I also like a lot is that Burt's Bees is available in many places, even in Vienna you can find them in drugstores like Müller!

The second Burt's Bees product is a lip shine, again 100% natural! In the tube it is a beautiful dark pink shade - called Flutter (040) and it smells beautiful!! It is a creamy- like lip gloss, not so sticky and it doesn't feel heavy on your lips, which is very important to me. The lip shine is not too pigmented, so it only gives you a subtle, sheer glossy colour that is perfect for everyday- wear and it also provides your lips with enough moisture! What else do you want?

And the last product of this brand is a Coconut foot cream that I was very excited to try out but am not 100% convinced yet. First of all, it is called a cream, so I also expected it to come out in that form but instead it turned out to be a seethrough gel-like consistency, which is hard to spread on your skin and it reminded me of coconut oil that first needs to melt a bit before you can use it as a moisturiser.
The "cream" contains ingredients like coconut oil( just like I already said), lanolin, glycerin, rosemary and peppermint oil, which is revitalising.
The product definitely moisturises your dry feet very well after just one use, but I just felt like it took me such a long time to rub the gel in properly + I was worried that my bedding would get greasy stains, which would be a drama.

Apart from that I also got an Intensive Face Mask and Regenerating Gloves, that I gave to my aunt since I thought she could do more use of them than me.
I will probably give the face mask with aloe vera, green tea, ginseng and hyaluronic acid to my mum because I think this would be a great pamper product for her!

In total I'm very happy about the products because they are made of great ingredients and also the masks are very tempting, but I'd like other to try out something new too so I try to share sometimes. ;)
Have you tried any products from this website already? Let me know if you did, I'd like to hear your opinion! :)

Baking A Birthday Cake!

It's my mum's birthday today and we spoilt her a bit this morning at 6:30 with a flower bouquet and some nice gifts, and once she gets home I want her to have a birthday cake - obviously.
Now, I decided that I wanted to try out something new - which is very risky, and bake a spinach cake,
I've never tried one before, I've never made one before but I've read lots of good things about it!

This is a cake that has simple ingredients, but it takes a pretty long time to finish it all off.

The dough:
-350 g of frozen spinach ( I decided to go for the already creamy version)
-3-4 eggs
-1 cup of sunflower or rapeseed oil ( I used rapeseed oil)
-3/4 cups of fine sugar
-2 cups of plain flour
-3 teaspoons of baking powder
-2 tablespoons of lemon juice
-zest of one lemon

1) Defrost the spinach and make sure to get rid of the water excess.
2) Put the flour and baking powder into a bowl ( sift it first!).
3) In a separate bowl, put the eggs and sugar and mix them until you get a creamy/foamy texture. Towards the end of mixing, slowly add the oil, while mixing all the time.
4) Add the spinach, lemon juice and zest and mix it all together gently.
5) Then, to the spinach mixture, add the flour and baking powder and mix again.
6) Put the dough into a tin ( I've used a round one) and bake at 165 degrees for 40 minutes. ( Preheat your oven!) Once the cake is done, let it cool down.

The filling:
-250 ml of cream
-125g of mascarpone
-1,5 tablespoon castor sugar
-1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1) Make sure the ingredients are chilled. Mix them all together in a bowl until the mixture turns into a thick cream.

1) Cut the cake into two layers. The cake will probably have a little bump- cut it off and break it down into crumble.
2) Spread the cream on top of the lower layer, leaving a bit of cream for the topping.
3) Put the other part on top and spread the rest of the cream on it, and sprinkle the crumbs on top. Then add some pomegranate seeds and your cake is done! ( You can also use berries if you want)

Now this is definitely a special cake and it just looks so interesting! Also the taste is something I've never tried before! It is sweet, a bit zingy and you can kind of tell there is something "wrong" inside. However, the spinach does not taste bad, it is actually a cool combination of tastes ;)

Why I like Smoothies

With the beginning of the year I decided it was time to start eating healthier again, and try to work out a bit. And of course it didn't work out well so far because of studying and other things that are going on in my life now. I spend most of the time sitting in bed revising and eating snacks rather than proper meals. I also have the feeling that I don't like anything I used to eat.
So thanks to my parents I got a Nutribullet for Christmas.
For the past few days I've been mixing up smoothies and milkshakes and trying to drink them rather than going for a bag of crisps. I love fruits and therefore this is a great option for me!

The Nutribullet comes with a book of healthy recipes for the so-called Nutriblasts. I haven't tried out any of those yet because I don't trust the idea of mixing vegetables and fruits together. I will however, try them out soon for sure!

So what I like to do is this combination:
-frozen strawberries
-dried cranberries
-Alpro rice& coconut
-Chia seeds
-maple syrup

There are no strict proportions, I just use the ingredients the way I want the smoothies to taste like. I usually put more bananas and strawberries inside.

I throw everything into the Nutribullet and in literally 10 seconds the smoothie is all done and ready to drink!

I absolutely love this device! It is also so easy to clean, which is great because the whole process of making a smoothie and cleaning up afterwards takes only a few minutes! There's always a spare minute for that!

Have you tried the Nutribullet as well? Do you like smoothies? I'm obsessed with them!

My OOTD: Dolly Shoes + Furry Coat

Today I couldn't really figure out what outfit would be nice to wear, since it's colder than yesterday and so incredibly windy too.
In the end I went for my furry, snuggly coat and some cheeky flats.

furry coat - Primark
snood - Primark
grey crop jumper - George
black mini skirt - H&M
( I promise I wear a skirt in those photos haha!)
black tights - Primark
pastel blue dolly shoes - ASOS
leather satchel - FOSSIL

Now I'm gonna eat something and start studying, as always.
I'm so happy to be healthy again after that horrible tonsillitis. Sitting at home, doing nothing really, makes me feel so tired and I could sleep all day long. Now that I can go out and get some fresh air, I also feel like I have more energy afterwards and I generally feel more alive.

Hope you're all having a nice day! :)

My OOTD: Monochrome Stripes

Hello everybody!
Today is such a beautiful, sunny and warm day that I decided to leave my down jacket at home and to take my denim jacket out again. :)
Here's my OOTD!

burgundy felt hat - Bata
denim jacket - Levi's
striped longsleeve top - Primark
skinny jeans - H&M
burgundy biker boots - Pepe Jeans
leather satchel - FOSSIL

I really like this outfit because it is great for a day out in town, especially when the weather is so amazing and you don't want to end up carrying your jacket around because you got too hot in it.
Each piece of this outfit is very comfortable to wear and I think it looks kinda cute.

Later in the evening I have to go to uni, and until I leave I have to study because my exam is so soon!

Have a nice day! :)

Christmas Perfume Haul

After being ill and laying in bed over the last few days, I finally feel good enough to blog again!
I was considering filming a What I Got For Christmas video, but somehow I got ( and bought) pretty much because of a certain reason and I decided not to do it. Instead I wanted to show you some bits of my gifts, like perfume.
Now, one was gifted to me, and with the money I received, I bought two other ones. ( Oops!)

As you can guess, they are not the cheapest choices, but I thought that if I have three perfumes at once, it will take me a long time until I need to stock up again, right?

From my dad I got the Moschino Chic Petals perfume from their Cheap&Chic range, and you may have already guessed that recently I've been a bit obsessed with Moschino, so once I saw this in a drugstore I fell in love and knew this was going to be my next perfume. So I got it for Christmas and am so happy!
First, there is this super cute floral print at the top and this little creature's head, that I really like.
The smell is pretty sweet and fresh, but more adult like than childish ( obviously). It is more of a sophisticated smell- it's quite difficult to tell what it smells like actually.
The official smell description is this one:" fruity juices of pomegranate and wild strawberry, combined with red ginger, red orchid petals, gardenia and water lily with a sensual trail of musk, hinoki wood and Italian iris."
Simply beautiful.

Next we have Daisy Sorbet by Marc Jacobs, which again is a rather sweet, floral scent. ( Those are my fave!)
Of course, again, my first impression of the bottle design was like WOW, so beautiful! I like those silicone flowers on the cap and the shape of the bottle itself, which has kind of the shape of an 8.
Apparently this is a scent of 2015 and also limited edition, which doesn't make me happy at all.
The description of the smell is something like this:" The fragrance opens with notes of pink grapefruit, pear and passion fruit. The heart includes flowers of wisteria, jasmine and lily of the valley, followed by the base violet wood, cedar and musk."
At first it seems pretty intense and heavy, but after a while it is such a delicate, light smell, perfect for spring and summer!

And the third perfume I got is by Victoria's Secret. Well, it's a body mist, but since it has the same use as perfume, let's just qualify it as such.
I have to say that I've been trying out all of the mists over the last months and was never really convinced because they are very intense and most of them have a scent that I call " fake watermelon" or also dragonfruit. When you get body lotions or something similar and it is called watermelon or dragonfruit, it makes me feel sick immediately. This is also related to some sweets actually, so even though I love real watermelon, everything that is "fake", is terrible for me. ( if this makes sense to you)
Now, after trying out all the body mists in stock, I think I've found one that I actually pretty like - Love spell.
Its smell is described as cherry blossom and peach, with aloe vera and chamomille.
And even though this may sound like a delicate composition, the body mist is so intense that one spritz is enough to smell it all day long. Again, this is perfect for hot days, when perfume may feel too much!

Have you tried any of those three beauties? If yes, let me know!

Avène Product Review

Hello guys!
This is my first beauty post of 2016, and I have to admit that I was trying to upload it already a long time ago, but just didn't manage to do it until now.
I got a few products from Avène, which I was very excited about!
The thermal water is actually a product I've been using during summer already when it was just way too hot to stay relaxed by the pool. I feel like this is such a summery beauty product, which is the reason why I didn't even use it yet, but since I already know it I can say that I really like using it on hot days, when the sun is just burning down on you and your face literally feels like burning and you pretty much regret being out in the sun. It is made for sensitive skin; the delicate mist cools you down and your skin feels less irritated straight away. It also doesn't have a smell and it soaks into your skin quickly, it is of course not greasy or anything, which is amazing!
And just because I like using it especially during summer, it doesn't mean that the thermal water can't be used on a daily basis! :)
Next, I tried the Couvrance mascara, which has a hooked wand, just like the Benefit Rollerlash or the Maybelline Lash Sensational. The only difference between those products is that the Avène mascara is great for everyday. It covers your lashes quickly and makes them longer. It doesn't leave clumps behind and your lashes are perfectly separated. To me, it is great for my lower lashes and for days when I'm not too keen on wearing heavy make-up. It will be perfect for those girls who already have incredibly long lashes and just want a darker, defined look.
Another product here is the mini hydrating serum, which is great for travelling, and cold weather.
The recent winter weeks left my face dry and itchy, causing my make-up to not look that good. For this reason I used the serum now and then to give my skin moisture that it needed. It surely helped achieving a better condition.
The last product is a moisturing mask that I haven't used yet, but again I got a sample sized one, which is very useful for trips and travelling, especially in winter, when the cold temperatures dry out your face. I feel like the mask and serum could be a great combo, assuring your skin to get well very quickly!

Have you tried any of those products yet? If yes, let me know about your experience!
