My January Beauty Favourites

Image
The month is already nearly over and this means that it's time for the Beauty Favourites! I have them again in three different categories, so it's more organised. FACE The first product I want to show you is my Bioderma Sebium Global cream or also called the Intensive purifying care. This product has helped my skin immensely since I have very oily skin and therefore I have lots of stubborn blackheads that can't be removed even by using face scrubs ( which is very annoying!). So, I've been using this product every night after taking off my make-up and after some days I started seeing a change- my blackheads were almost gone and I didn't get as many spots as usual.  I am seriously impressed by this cream/serum, I just use a teeny tiny drop and spread it all over my T-zone usually, since that's the area that needs help. And it really works very well for me. What's good for you if you live in Austria- you can now get Bioderma products in sever

My Favourite Smoothie!

Image
A few days back I wrote about how much I love my new Nutribullet because I just mix up all the fruits I like and have a delicious snack, which is healthy and definitely much better for my body than a bag of crisps. I also showed already a smoothie I really like, but then I invented a new recipe and am seriously in love! So I wanted to share it with you. ;) Those are the ingredients you need for 1 smoothie: - some frozen raspberries -1 kiwi -1 tablespoon of Alpro blueberry yogurt - 1 teaspoon of chia seeds -1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon -a bit of maple syrup -coconut&rice Alpro ( I use to fill the cup to the max-line) Even the colour of the ready smoothie is so pretty!  I love the sweet-soury taste of it. It doesn't have a big variety of fruits. but the ones that are used are some of my favourites, so I am really happy. This smoothie is also doesn't have such a thick consistency, which I also like a lot. Let me know what you think about that combina

Vlog Day!

Image
Hello everyone! It's already Sunday evening and I only managed to find some time now to edit the vlog and write down a short summary of the week. We've had a very busy day, so I am sorry for not uploading anything earlier! So, it was my mum's Birthday on Tuesday, so it was a nice beginning of the week to all of us. We spoilt her a little bit with a nice flower bouquet, fancy gifts and a cool cake that I baked and I also uploaded a recipe for it here ! I went to town on Monday to get the gifts so that's why I didn't film anything to town - I was trying to focus on what I actually had to get done! Apart from that it was snowing nearly all week long, which kind of looked nice ( when I could stay at home) but it drove me crazy when I had to get out into the cold. On Friday I had a practice day at work ( since I left my previous job and was looking for a new one) and it looks like I'm gonna be working in February again.  In the evening my mum had some frie

Village Cosmetics Haul & Review

Image
Hello everyone! Today I'm back with some beauty things again and I hope you're just as excited about it as I am! A few weeks back I got a parcel from Village Cosmetics, full of very cool beauty products to try and now I feel like it's the right time to talk about them. In the parcel I found a Frollein Wunder shower cream that smells like lemon grass- fresh fruity, just as it says at the bottom of the tube! The design of this shower cream is so cute and it encourages you to sing in the shower! :D The product moisturises your skin, leaving it soft and supple and the fresh lemon grass fragrance invigorates and lifts your spirits! This shower cream used in the morning, will surely give you an amazing start to the day! Next I found a few Burt's Bees product that I didn't even expect and I got so excited about them! I already have one lip balm by this brand and the nourishing product is just amazing! The lip balm I received is made with mango butte

Baking A Birthday Cake!

Image
It's my mum's birthday today and we spoilt her a bit this morning at 6:30 with a flower bouquet and some nice gifts, and once she gets home I want her to have a birthday cake - obviously. Now, I decided that I wanted to try out something new - which is very risky, and bake a spinach cake, I've never tried one before, I've never made one before but I've read lots of good things about it! This is a cake that has simple ingredients, but it takes a pretty long time to finish it all off. The dough: -350 g of frozen spinach ( I decided to go for the already creamy version) -3-4 eggs -1 cup of sunflower or rapeseed oil ( I used rapeseed oil) -3/4 cups of fine sugar -2 cups of plain flour -3 teaspoons of baking powder -2 tablespoons of lemon juice -zest of one lemon 1) Defrost the spinach and make sure to get rid of the water excess. 2) Put the flour and baking powder into a bowl ( sift it first!). 3) In a separate bowl, put the eggs and sugar and mix t

Why I like Smoothies

Image
With the beginning of the year I decided it was time to start eating healthier again, and try to work out a bit. And of course it didn't work out well so far because of studying and other things that are going on in my life now. I spend most of the time sitting in bed revising and eating snacks rather than proper meals. I also have the feeling that I don't like anything I used to eat. So thanks to my parents I got a Nutribullet for Christmas. For the past few days I've been mixing up smoothies and milkshakes and trying to drink them rather than going for a bag of crisps. I love fruits and therefore this is a great option for me! The Nutribullet comes with a book of healthy recipes for the so-called Nutriblasts. I haven't tried out any of those yet because I don't trust the idea of mixing vegetables and fruits together. I will however, try them out soon for sure! So what I like to do is this combination: -frozen strawberries -bananas -cucumber -dried cran

My OOTD: Dolly Shoes + Furry Coat

Image
Today I couldn't really figure out what outfit would be nice to wear, since it's colder than yesterday and so incredibly windy too. In the end I went for my furry, snuggly coat and some cheeky flats. furry coat - Primark snood - Primark grey crop jumper - George black mini skirt - H&M ( I promise I wear a skirt in those photos haha!) black tights - Primark pastel blue dolly shoes - ASOS leather satchel - FOSSIL Now I'm gonna eat something and start studying, as always. I'm so happy to be healthy again after that horrible tonsillitis. Sitting at home, doing nothing really, makes me feel so tired and I could sleep all day long. Now that I can go out and get some fresh air, I also feel like I have more energy afterwards and I generally feel more alive. Hope you're all having a nice day! :) -Olivia ~13.01.2015~

My OOTD: Monochrome Stripes

Image
Hello everybody! Today is such a beautiful, sunny and warm day that I decided to leave my down jacket at home and to take my denim jacket out again. :) Here's my OOTD! burgundy felt hat - Bata denim jacket - Levi's striped longsleeve top - Primark skinny jeans - H&M burgundy biker boots - Pepe Jeans leather satchel - FOSSIL I really like this outfit because it is great for a day out in town, especially when the weather is so amazing and you don't want to end up carrying your jacket around because you got too hot in it. Each piece of this outfit is very comfortable to wear and I think it looks kinda cute. Later in the evening I have to go to uni, and until I leave I have to study because my exam is so soon! Have a nice day! :) -Olivia ~12.01.2015~

Christmas Perfume Haul

Image
After being ill and laying in bed over the last few days, I finally feel good enough to blog again! I was considering filming a What I Got For Christmas video, but somehow I got ( and bought) pretty much because of a certain reason and I decided not to do it. Instead I wanted to show you some bits of my gifts, like perfume. Now, one was gifted to me, and with the money I received, I bought two other ones. ( Oops!) As you can guess, they are not the cheapest choices, but I thought that if I have three perfumes at once, it will take me a long time until I need to stock up again, right? From my dad I got the Moschino Chic Petals perfume from their Cheap&Chic range, and you may have already guessed that recently I've been a bit obsessed with Moschino, so once I saw this in a drugstore I fell in love and knew this was going to be my next perfume. So I got it for Christmas and am so happy! First, there is this super cute floral print at the top and this little crea

Avène Product Review

Image
Hello guys! This is my first beauty post of 2016, and I have to admit that I was trying to upload it already a long time ago, but just didn't manage to do it until now. I got a few products from Avène, which I was very excited about! The thermal water is actually a product I've been using during summer already when it was just way too hot to stay relaxed by the pool. I feel like this is such a summery beauty product, which is the reason why I didn't even use it yet, but since I already know it I can say that I really like using it on hot days, when the sun is just burning down on you and your face literally feels like burning and you pretty much regret being out in the sun. It is made for sensitive skin; the delicate mist cools you down and your skin feels less irritated straight away. It also doesn't have a smell and it soaks into your skin quickly, it is of course not greasy or anything, which is amazing!  And just because I like using it especially during s
