3 Nice Bags | Wants

Image
For a longer time now I've been thinking of getting a new bag for College, as the only one I can fit my folder in is my blue GABS bag, which is awesome, but doesn't match every outfit of mine. So I was thinking of getting a big black bag, but I don't really know what it should be like. I am a person that prefers having a nice, stable leather bag instead of five non-leather ones, which will be worn out after some months sadly. I found some bags that I am dying for right now, but they are expensive and I wish I had the money for them. But maybe after Christmas I'll have some money saved up and will be finally able to get something new? Basically, my biggest wish was this beautiful bag from Fossil , called Erin Satchel. I am totally in love with it. it costs 169£, which is pricey as you can tell, but it is made of leather and seems very durable. The problem is that I can't really tell if this bag would be big enough for all the things I carry around when I'm

Monthly Random Favourites | November

Today you are going to see all the other things I've loved throughout November- here they are! First we have the apple crumble pie I've already baked twice. It is amazing, quite easy and quick in preparation and it will be gone very quickly once it's made! I posted the recipe to it here . I got myself a beautiful dress from Primark some time ago. And you won't believe how much I paid for it! It was totally reduced to 3£ only!!!! The colours are so bright, the dress itself is very loose, it has sleeves that go up to your elbows and on the back you tie a bow and off you go! To see it fully, click here . I am totally in love with it and I hope that it will stay so pretty for some time at least! I also included our brand new WoodWick candle that arrived this week. I ordered it off Amazon and it is just a dream! Surely my favourite candle ever! I also filmed it and you can see it here , and I also wrote about it here . I totally recommend it to everyone!

Monthly Beauty Favourites | November

Image
Oh dear, November is already coming to an end, Christmas is nearly here and I still didn't manage to get all the Christmas gifts yet. This month will apparently be a very busy one I can already tell! But now we can do something nice, check out my favourite beauty products of November. Most of them are new, and I love them. Let's start with the Wet'n'Wild blush in Pearlescent pink. It is so pigmented that you really need to be careful with it. But I just used it twice or so and I already got asked if I changed something in my make-up routine as my face looks more colourful now. So, yes, I started using a bit of blush, additionally to the bronzer I always use. I use my Real Techniques Stippling brush to apply it to my cheeks and I just gently dip the brush into the powder blush because I don't want to look too pink. Mine comes in a package with a tiny mirror and a flat brush, but as I said, I use one from Real Techniques as I find it's shape very appropriate

Empties | November

Image
I've collected so many empty products over the last few weeks that the bag is already full and I finally need to get rid of the empties to create new space for new empty products. The first product is again a TRESemme hair shampoo. This time it's from the Salon Silk range and I have to say that I was quite happy with it. However, lately I found that my hair gets greasy very quickly and even after washing and drying my hair, it feels not clean but quite sticky or greasy underneath all the visible hair. I don't know if it is the choice of shampoo or what because I rinse it until no foam comes out any more. But, the shampoo smells nice and as it is a 900ml bottle, it lasts for about a month, maybe a bit less in my case. Next we have two things that are not related to beauty at all- a tea box and a box of a candle. The Twingings Strawberry& Raspberry tea was one I quickly grabbed because I thought it would be nice to have a fruity tea if we had any guests o

My WoodWick Candle

Image
After writing this post about the candles I have, I went on Amazon and ordered myself another candle. A WoodWick. I've already had one, when I got it for Christmas last year and I instantly fell in love with it. I had it in the scent Cranapple Punch, which was quite a christmassy scent, and it was absolutely beautiful! Before leaving Austria,  there was not much of it left, so I decided not to take it overseas and gave it to my mum. And now I felt like having this candle again would make me feel like being home, with my family, in my very own room and in Vienna. So when I found this candle, with the scent called Currant, I just went for it and couldn't wait for it to arrive at my doorstep. And to be honest, it smells very, very similar to my first one, if not even basically the same. Again, an absolutely beautiful scent to have at home. Now, the special thing about this candle is that it has a special wood wick, which creates a crackling sound, as if you were sitting nex

Glamour | December 2014

Today I got up early as I had lots of things to sort out before College. I first had to get to the city centre, which took me over an hour due to road works and traffic jams. Once I got there, I had to go to the bank to pay money into my account, then I had to go to the Three shop to sort something out about my phone bill. Next I took the bus and saw Lidl on the way, which made me totally feel like I want to see some products that I used to see in Vienna often. So I got off and took my time to stroll around Lidl and bought myself delicious chocolate coated gingerbread hearts filled with apricot jam. Then I took the bus again and had to get medicine from the pharmacy, which is near my College, but very far from town. When I had to change the bus and saw that I still have lots of time left, I quickly went to ASDA and then I took the bus again. I then got off at the pharmacy, took the medicine and my bus was due in 10 minutes so I decided to go to Scotmid and check out magazines. And so

New In Beauty Products | Boots & The Body Shop

Today after College I met up with Eryk in town and we went to Superdrug as I needed a new concealer and there is currently the 3 for 2 offer on all cosmetics going on, so I was also thinking that I could finally get myself a new eyeliner and so I picked a liquidy/gel liner and a kohl pencil, as my current one keeps breaking when I try to sharpen it. So, I was checking out all the concealers available, but I was just never too sure about the coverage. And the prices of them varied between about 5 and 10£. I hate risking paying the money for something that just totally won't work and that I'll never use. This is the reason why I just went for another Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. But this time in the lightest shade, 1 Fair. I really hope that this one will match my current skin colour perfectly. I've always had it in shade  2 Cool Medium, which works perfectly fine when I'm tanned, but not during winter. The Maybelline Lasting Drama Black Shock Gel

Top 3 Autumn/Winter Nail Polishes

Image
To be honest, I don't really know if you can still call this time of the year autumn, where everything is so christmassy already. And it got colder for sure. To me this is already winter, and it's also only a month left until Christmas. Which means that I have my flight to Poland in less than a month already! This is really crazy... But, as the christmassy times also mean christmassy, cosy outfits, I like to pair them with pretty nail polishes. I haven't bought any new ones lately, although I'd really love to have a dark grey one or so. Or all the nail polishes available at the moment. So here are three nail polishes I wear most often right now, and which are also very good and worth having at home. The first nail polish for today is quite a dark purple shade from MakeUpAcademy. The colour is called Plum Noir and you can get it from Superdrug for 1£ only! After two thin layers, the nail polish is covering nicely. It gives a nice accent to your outfit, goes perf

The Real Techniques Core Collection | Review

Image
Some time ago I ordered myself the Core Collection of the Real Techniques brushes and I showed them here , once they arrived. Now I thought that it is already time to tell you something about them and to show you what I use them for. So these are the four brushes; the pointed foundation brush, the detailer brush, the buffing brush and the contour brush. As I already said in the first entry, this set is made to help you create the base of your make-up. The brussels of the buffing and contour brush are soft and they are easy to use with powders for example. The heads of the foundation and detailer brush are flat and not so soft any more, but they still do their job. So, each of the brushes has the brand name written on the handle, and on the opposite side you can find the name of the given brush. And I just realised that on one of the brushes, the writing started fading, which doesn't make me too happy, as I thought that would stay pretty and not go cra
