3 Nice Bags | Wants

For a longer time now I've been thinking of getting a new bag for College, as the only one I can fit my folder in is my blue GABS bag, which is awesome, but doesn't match every outfit of mine. So I was thinking of getting a big black bag, but I don't really know what it should be like. I am a person that prefers having a nice, stable leather bag instead of five non-leather ones, which will be worn out after some months sadly.
I found some bags that I am dying for right now, but they are expensive and I wish I had the money for them. But maybe after Christmas I'll have some money saved up and will be finally able to get something new?

Basically, my biggest wish was this beautiful bag from Fossil, called Erin Satchel. I am totally in love with it. it costs 169£, which is pricey as you can tell, but it is made of leather and seems very durable. The problem is that I can't really tell if this bag would be big enough for all the things I carry around when I'm in College, and this is the main reason why I am trying to find a new bag for. It is surely amazing if you are going to town, cinema or when you are travelling and use it as hand luggage. If it was big enough for a folder and all the other rubbish, I would save up for it and buy it once I have enough money because I'd know that it is really worth getting it. I was also thinking of Livingston, which is an outlet centre near Edinburgh, as there is a Fossil shop over there. Obviously, if they had this bag, it would be way cheaper than online and in a regular Fossil shop. (hopefully) So I think that I should maybe once go there and check out what they offer, before buying a Fossil bag online.

Two days ago I found another beautiful bag, that I fell in love with, but I am not too sure about either. It seems bigger than the Fossil bag, but I couldn't find it in black, so here's a navy version of it. It is from the brand Modalu, also made of leather and it has some tiny cute shells studded on the front of the bag. I think that it looks so elegant, but not too serious and it is just so pretty! I have no experience with this brand, so I don't know anything about it's quality and if it is worth spending 299£ on it. Don't worry, I won't! If it was a gift, well, give it to me! But 300 pounds is definitely too much for me, at least while being a student without a proper job, you know. But maybe there is someone out there looking for a nice bag like this one, who would be ready to pay the price.

But, there are also some more affordable bags I'd go for, like this one from H&M. It is not a leather bag but it is big and would definitely have enough space to hide away all the College stuff, and snacks and so on. I think it would be great to go and check it out as it seems like a quite nice bag. Quite plain, but that's basically what I really need. I don't have enough basics, sadly. Also, the price for this bag is a really nice one and it surely wouldn't harm anyone to have it. Even for travelling it seems to be a good option to me.

What do you think? Should I finally get a black bag which would match my outfits better?

Monthly Random Favourites | November

Today you are going to see all the other things I've loved throughout November- here they are!

First we have the apple crumble pie I've already baked twice. It is amazing, quite easy and quick in preparation and it will be gone very quickly once it's made! I posted the recipe to it here.

I got myself a beautiful dress from Primark some time ago. And you won't believe how much I paid for it! It was totally reduced to 3£ only!!!! The colours are so bright, the dress itself is very loose, it has sleeves that go up to your elbows and on the back you tie a bow and off you go! To see it fully, click here. I am totally in love with it and I hope that it will stay so pretty for some time at least!

I also included our brand new WoodWick candle that arrived this week. I ordered it off Amazon and it is just a dream! Surely my favourite candle ever! I also filmed it and you can see it here, and I also wrote about it here. I totally recommend it to everyone!

Some days ago we were doing some little grocery shopping on our way home from town and Eryk grabbed some 100% cocoa powder. And we were drinking it nearly every evening since we got it. It is a really nice cocoa powder, and the fact that it says 100% cocoa in the ingredients section makes it even better!

One day after College I went to the Gyle Centre and I went to Dorothy Perkins, where I found this cute necklace with the small triangles. I adore it so much! It is so little, but so pretty and I can wear it with so many outfits to be honest. And it was also a total bargain! Only 3£! I couldn't resist obviously... I also showed it earlier over here.

And the last thing for this month is something sweet. I found Lotus biscuits here and couldn't believe it! I used to buy them in Vienna all the time because they are just so delicious, and perfect with Earl Grey tea or hot chocolate! We had a whole pack some days ago but I couldn't find any of the biscuits any more, so I bought this pack yesterday. Look at it. Nearly half of it is already gone!

I think these were some random picks that I totally loved this month. I recommend all of them because they are great!

Well, I'm off now to talk to my family for a bit and as I work tomorrow again, I shouldn't be up too late tonight.

See you tomorrow! And if you didn't see our latest vlog yet, check it out HERE please!!

Monthly Beauty Favourites | November

Oh dear, November is already coming to an end, Christmas is nearly here and I still didn't manage to get all the Christmas gifts yet. This month will apparently be a very busy one I can already tell!

But now we can do something nice, check out my favourite beauty products of November. Most of them are new, and I love them.

Let's start with the Wet'n'Wild blush in Pearlescent pink. It is so pigmented that you really need to be careful with it. But I just used it twice or so and I already got asked if I changed something in my make-up routine as my face looks more colourful now. So, yes, I started using a bit of blush, additionally to the bronzer I always use. I use my Real Techniques Stippling brush to apply it to my cheeks and I just gently dip the brush into the powder blush because I don't want to look too pink. Mine comes in a package with a tiny mirror and a flat brush, but as I said, I use one from Real Techniques as I find it's shape very appropriate for applying blush to my skin.

Next, my little Bourjois Quad palette in Over Rose is something I've used so many times since I got it. I didn't have a liquid or gel eyeliner lately and decided to use this little pinky palette to define my eyes a bit more. And I really enjoy it. It comes with an applicator as well, but to actually apply the shadow I use my EcoTOOLS full eyeshadow brush. Well, I should maybe get another eyeshadow brush, so I could use one for lighter and the other one for darker shades. But, I really think that it is a nice piece of make-up for eyeshadow starters, like me, because the shadows are not too pigmented, but buildable. And you also have a whole set to create a smokey eye in one place. Awesome!

Also a favourite product this month is my new Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, this time in the lightest shade, 1 Fair. It makes my undereye circles look better and it doesn't leave orange stains all over my face after it dries, which is very good! It is also affordable and lasts for ages!

After trying out Benefit's They're real liner, I felt like I want one because it is easier for me to use than a regular liquid eyeliner. But the price is just horrible so I decided to keep my eye on a good dupe or so. And I found the Maybelline Lasting Drama BlackShock eyeliner, which works just like the Benefit one, but seems a bit more liquid to me. I am really happy that I got it because I like wearing eyeliner and this one is awesome, but it is a good thing to possess a waterproof make-up remover, as this liner is really waterproof! And make-up remover proof too! So it takes me ages to take it off, using the Garnier Micellar water as it leaves your skin grey, just like the Benefit liner. So, if you are getting this, buy yourself a waterproof make-up remover with it to not make your eyes sore while removing the liner before bed.

Last time I also couldn't resist and got myself the Glazed Apple hand cream from The Body Shop and I am  so in love with the smell, I wish I could smell it forever! So christmassy, and so fruity! The cream also leaves your hands soft and moisturised, and nice smelling for a long time! If I could, I'd really get the whole Glazed Apple range!

And the last favourite product I'm going to show you this month is the beautiful scented hand sanitiser from Soap&Glory.  It contains natural Grapefruit extract, which makes the smell so delicious. It does also remind me of their hand cream called Hand Food. It is always good to have a hand cleansing gel with you when you're out of the house. This one was 2,50£ at Boots, but it is just so amazing that I couldn't resist buying it.

These were all the beauty products I've loved throughout November and tomorrow you'll see all the random favourites of this month!

Also, the vlog is converting at the moment, and uploading to Youtube soon, so don't forget to check it out later in the evening before you go to bed!

Empties | November

I've collected so many empty products over the last few weeks that the bag is already full and I finally need to get rid of the empties to create new space for new empty products.

The first product is again a TRESemme hair shampoo. This time it's from the Salon Silk range and I have to say that I was quite happy with it. However, lately I found that my hair gets greasy very quickly and even after washing and drying my hair, it feels not clean but quite sticky or greasy underneath all the visible hair. I don't know if it is the choice of shampoo or what because I rinse it until no foam comes out any more. But, the shampoo smells nice and as it is a 900ml bottle, it lasts for about a month, maybe a bit less in my case.

Next we have two things that are not related to beauty at all- a tea box and a box of a candle.
The Twingings Strawberry& Raspberry tea was one I quickly grabbed because I thought it would be nice to have a fruity tea if we had any guests over that would like to have one. But as I usually drink Earl Grey tea, at first I wasn't really into it. But with time I started having a cup of it every few hours or so and the whole box was empty after probably less than two weeks. I think I should get a new one soon.

The AirWick candle is one I totally love. And I bought three of them, so I have one still unlit and one that we already used a bit. And one is obviously all gone, that's why I'm writing this. It is a beautiful scent, apparently wild fig, fruity and cosy, but not too intense. Absolutely amazing and addicting! Also, they come in a pretty glass, that I kept for rings or other small pieces of jewellery and stuff.

Also, some time ago I mentioned Eryk's shower gel haul and he also bought the Colgate mouthwash with the shower gels. I really liked this blue mouthwash as it was refreshing and not too burning. However, there is a green version that I once bought in a travel size, which is actually a handy thing for airports and so on, but the taste was totally gross and I was really happy to have this blue one as a change.
And then, I also included this empty pack of the Gillette Venus Oceana disposable razors. Just because they are great value for money and quite long lasting. I really enjoyed using them as they have a comfy handle and really sharp razors that make shaving legs a lot easier than other disposable razors, from my experience. I actually also had some Bic ones, where you get 4 of them in a pack and they range from the colour blue to green and I also found them very very good. So, as I couldn't get my hands on the Bic ones, I used these ones and was also quite happy with them.

Then we've also used up two hand soaps. The first one is from Cussons from the Imperial Leather range and as Carex comes from the same brand I have to say that Carex is so much better than that one. I just couldn't stand the smell, which reminded me of some cheap granny perfume, it didn't make my hands feel clean and fresh but as if I was touching some old clothes or so. I wouldn't repurchase this soap, because of the smell for sure.
The Tango soap however, was totally awesome! The smell is just so fruity and refreshing that I wanted to use it every five minutes. It smells like some zesty sweets, something very tasty. It is a very summery scent as well I'd say and the amount of soap that came in this bottle seemed so huge to me, compared to other hand soaps.
It was also quite cheap, which also lets me say that it is amazing value for money!

Also an empty product this time is my all-time favourite deodorant. First I got one with a roller ball from this range, which is the Pomegranate and Lemon grass (or so) one and that was last summer I believe. It lasted for absolutely ages, but once it got empty I bought myself this compressed bottle one as a spray and I love it even more! It smells just amazing (apparently good smelling products are a must for me), it comes in a tiny, very handy bottle, that you can carry around in your bag and use it on the go even. I got this one back in Austria and I just used it up a week or so ago! I also have a new roller ball version of it, which I also bought already ages ago, and a compressed spray bottle, that I just started using. I am totally in love with it and I will definitely continue repurchasing it until they discontinue the range (please don't, Dove!).
Now, we finally come to a make-up piece, which is the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in the shade 2 Cool Medium. It is my second one in this shade and I was quite happy with it, until my skin got more and more pale after my summer tan faded away. I use it under my eyes and on my spots (which are mainly on my forehead) and it left orange patches all over my forehead and even darker looking circles under my eyes. It was absolutely horrible over the last two weeks I believe and I was relieved once it got totally empty and I went to Superdrug to get the lighter shade. I was quite happy with how it covers up redness and under eye circles, even though you could still always see them any ways. If I won't find a nicer concealer for my skin until summer, I'll probably get this shade again once I'm tanned.
And the last product for today is still not all used up, but it will be later this evening. It is the Garnier Micellar water, which is so popular just now, and often considered as Bioderma's best dupe. Well. I am not too sure about that. After the first use I could straight away tell my skin had a terrible smell. It totally freaked me out as I could smell something like wet walls once I've taken my make-up off and it completely irritated me. I just had to wash my face with water and dry it with a towel as much as possible in order to get rid of the horrible smell. Now, my house mate uses the same one and she says she never realised that smell, so maybe it's just my bottle. So I thought that maybe it could be just a faulty bottle. I was not too sure whether I wanted to repurchase it, because it works very well, but the horrible smell just ruins the whole effect for me, but I just couldn't find anything else really. And once I saw the Garnier Micellar water on sale, when I was in town with Eryk and I just got a new bottle of it but didn't use it yet. I hope that this one won't leave the bad smell on my skin, because I will stock up on Bioderma after coming back from Poland.

And that was it! So many products collected!
If you've tried any of the products, let me know about your opinions etc!

My WoodWick Candle

After writing this post about the candles I have, I went on Amazon and ordered myself another candle. A WoodWick. I've already had one, when I got it for Christmas last year and I instantly fell in love with it. I had it in the scent Cranapple Punch, which was quite a christmassy scent, and it was absolutely beautiful!

Before leaving Austria,  there was not much of it left, so I decided not to take it overseas and gave it to my mum. And now I felt like having this candle again would make me feel like being home, with my family, in my very own room and in Vienna. So when I found this candle, with the scent called Currant, I just went for it and couldn't wait for it to arrive at my doorstep. And to be honest, it smells very, very similar to my first one, if not even basically the same. Again, an absolutely beautiful scent to have at home.

Now, the special thing about this candle is that it has a special wood wick, which creates a crackling sound, as if you were sitting next to a bonfire. I was first quite unsure about the sound as you hear the candle all the time when it's burning, but I immediately accepted the sound and I totally love having it around me. It makes me feel calm and happy.

The candle comes in a beautifully shaped jar, with a wooden lid.

I don't know for how many hours it lasts, but as I've used it from December until June, I can say that it . Lasts for many hours.
I think it is so perfect and especially now, during the festive season, it just makes our room feel even more christmassy and cosier.
Once we've burnt down this candle I will surely keep thr jar to store my make-up brushes or some pieces of my make-up or even for short flowers. I am very excited about having it around.

What about you? Have you hesrd about WoodWick candles yet? I totally recommend them to every candle lover!

Glamour | December 2014

Today I got up early as I had lots of things to sort out before College.
I first had to get to the city centre, which took me over an hour due to road works and traffic jams. Once I got there, I had to go to the bank to pay money into my account, then I had to go to the Three shop to sort something out about my phone bill. Next I took the bus and saw Lidl on the way, which made me totally feel like I want to see some products that I used to see in Vienna often. So I got off and took my time to stroll around Lidl and bought myself delicious chocolate coated gingerbread hearts filled with apricot jam. Then I took the bus again and had to get medicine from the pharmacy, which is near my College, but very far from town. When I had to change the bus and saw that I still have lots of time left, I quickly went to ASDA and then I took the bus again. I then got off at the pharmacy, took the medicine and my bus was due in 10 minutes so I decided to go to Scotmid and check out magazines. And so I found this new Glamour one with three nice gifts, and decided that I should get something to read. I bought this awesome magazine, which is only 2£ with all the nice stuff!

So, first of all you get a Nails Inc nail polish and you can choose from four colours, I went for this very dark berryish colour, which is absolutely beautiful. It surely is one of the best polishes I've ever tried and am so happy to have one now. This nail polish is totally added to my autumn/winter favourites.

The second extra is a card from The Body Shop, which is worth either 3, 15 or 100 £! And there are also some that can make you win 1000£ for shopping at The Body Shop! You just need to take it to the shop and let it check for its value. Next time I'll be in town I'll go and ask about it for sure. I totally love The Body Shop and I could also find some more nice Christmas gifts there.

And the third thing you get with the magazine is a 20% off voucher for H&M that is valid if you spend at least 20£!
This could also be a good chance to get some gifts, or to treat yourself a bit for Christmas, right?
I am totally surprised with so many cool extras in a magazine for only 2£! Should it continue adding such cool things I would consider getting it more often from now one. So let's wait for the January issue!

What do you think about this issue? Do you agree that it is totally fabulous?

New In Beauty Products | Boots & The Body Shop

Today after College I met up with Eryk in town and we went to Superdrug as I needed a new concealer and there is currently the 3 for 2 offer on all cosmetics going on, so I was also thinking that I could finally get myself a new eyeliner and so I picked a liquidy/gel liner and a kohl pencil, as my current one keeps breaking when I try to sharpen it.

So, I was checking out all the concealers available, but I was just never too sure about the coverage. And the prices of them varied between about 5 and 10£. I hate risking paying the money for something that just totally won't work and that I'll never use. This is the reason why I just went for another Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. But this time in the lightest shade, 1 Fair. I really hope that this one will match my current skin colour perfectly. I've always had it in shade  2 Cool Medium, which works perfectly fine when I'm tanned, but not during winter.

The Maybelline Lasting Drama Black Shock Gel liner is said to be the dupe of Benefit's They're Real lash hugging liner and I've tested it too and I was quite happy with the effect it gave. Apart from the black stained eyelids it left me with every evening after I've taken off all  my make-up.
Now this eyeliner from Maybelline looks the same if you consider the design of the liner itself. It seems to me a bit more liquid than the Benefit one and I am not too sure if creating a straight line will be as easy with it, but I will manage somehow I think. I am very excited to try it out though. Also, this one, priced 8,99£, is a total bargain compared to the Benefit one, priced 18,50£ or so.

And the kohl liner from Barry M is one I'd like to use to frame my eyes a bit and I hope that it will be nice dark and that it will stay in the right place for as long as possible. I haven't used it yet, so I'll also go and try it out once I've finished writing the blog entry.

Now, on our way to the bus stop I quickly wanted to show Eryk the Glazed Apple range from the Body Shop and once we entered the shop one of the girls working there gave us a voucher that was only valid for an hour or so, and it was 50% off everything in the shop! This was quite a bad thing to tell me, but there was only one thing I really wanted to get at the moment, so I decided to take two of them, in order to give one as a Christmas gift to someone special.
I finally bought the glazed apple hand cream and the smell is a dream. Seriously! If I had the money, I would get every single product from that collection. But the hand cream needs to make me happy for now.

These are the four products we bought for me today and once we came home, we also found our new, beautiful candle waiting for us! I am totally in love with it and it reminds me so much of home. I will light it probably every day, just as I used to do it in Vienna, until it's all burnt down. Then I'll order myself the next one. Oh yes, definitely.
But don't worry, the candle will have it's own blog post very soon!

Top 3 Autumn/Winter Nail Polishes

To be honest, I don't really know if you can still call this time of the year autumn, where everything is so christmassy already. And it got colder for sure. To me this is already winter, and it's also only a month left until Christmas. Which means that I have my flight to Poland in less than a month already! This is really crazy...

But, as the christmassy times also mean christmassy, cosy outfits, I like to pair them with pretty nail polishes. I haven't bought any new ones lately, although I'd really love to have a dark grey one or so. Or all the nail polishes available at the moment.
So here are three nail polishes I wear most often right now, and which are also very good and worth having at home.

The first nail polish for today is quite a dark purple shade from MakeUpAcademy. The colour is called Plum Noir and you can get it from Superdrug for 1£ only! After two thin layers, the nail polish is covering nicely. It gives a nice accent to your outfit, goes perfectly with black and grey, which is in my opinion very common during that time of year.

The next nail polish is in a beautiful burgundy shade, called Raspberry from Barry M. In my opinion it is the perfect Christmas colour, as apparently red and green are very popular and traditional. You could pair it with a beautiful evening or party dress, or just with some plain beige and nude sweaters along with some black leggings, and still look stylish!

And the last one for today is a dusty pink colour, called Ballerina, also from Barry M.
This shade, is not as bright as the two previous ones, for a change. It is quite a nude shade and will go with everything I can think of. ( I think.) I love wearing this on a daily basis, when I have no idea what I'm going to wear the next day and my nails will still match my next outfit. if you like some colour on your nails, but not ones that show off too much, this one is perfect for you!

I am totally in love with these three shades, and they are surely my favourites! I hope I won't use them up too quickly, because I would be sad.

Do you like wearing nail polish shades that are matching the seasonal colours?

The Real Techniques Core Collection | Review

Some time ago I ordered myself the Core Collection of the Real Techniques brushes and I showed them here, once they arrived.

Now I thought that it is already time to tell you something about them and to show you what I use them for.

So these are the four brushes; the pointed foundation brush, the detailer brush, the buffing brush and the contour brush. As I already said in the first entry, this set is made to help you create the base of your make-up.

The brussels of the buffing and contour brush are soft and they are easy to use with powders for example.

The heads of the foundation and detailer brush are flat and not so soft any more, but they still do their job.

So, each of the brushes has the brand name written on the handle, and on the opposite side you can find the name of the given brush.

And I just realised that on one of the brushes, the writing started fading, which doesn't make me too happy, as I thought that would stay pretty and not go crazy after only nearly two weeks of use. But as long as the brushes do their proper job I shouldn't really complain about the quality of the writing on the handles.

I don't wear foundation so I use the foundation brush to apply my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer to my forehead, nose, under my eyes and on all the blemishes and spots I have. At this time it is difficult for me to tell if it is smudging the product properly or not, because the concealer leaves orange patches on my face. However, it is already empty, so next time I'll definitely go for the lighter shade, and maybe it will give a nicer result.

I use the contour brush to highlight my cheekbones slightly, and that was basically all I use it for.

Sometimes I also still use my Shiseido corrector and as it is already so empty that you can't apply it without a brush, I use this tiny one to get some of the product on my face. Sometimes I also use it underneath my lower lashes to smudge the concealer in easier, so that I won't have grey irregular stains from last night's make-up.

And I use the buffing brush for my Bourjois Healthy Balance powder to apply it quickly all over my face.

All in all, I have to say that I am happy with the brushes and if they were a bit cheaper I'd definitely go for every one available because I think that I still don't have one for each area of the face, which would definitely help me with making my make-up look nicer.

The set also comes with a travel case, that I think I'll use when going to Poland, in order to keep all of the brushes safe in one place. But at home I never use it as I keep the brushes with my mascaras and so on in the white IKEA metal pots, which is just handier for everyday use.

What do you think about these brushes? Have you already tried them? If not, would you?
