My Christmas Make-Up

Image
Since Christmas is always very fancy in our house, I also make sure my outfit and make-up look pretty. And since I wear the same make-up every day, it's quite hard for me to go for something else ( mainly cause I suck at everything else that is not mascara and eyeliner). When I got my early Christmas gift from Eryk two years ago, which was the Urban Decay Naked On The Run palette, it made things a bit easier. My Christmas make-up this year will look like this: I think it is not overly different. It looks quite delicate, yet pretty enough to wear on a special day. I'll quickly talk you through all the products I've used, so you can recreate this look if you want, or get some of the products in case you liked them. Starting off with the base... My make-up base is always the same, except for the powder that I sometimes have to switch because of a tan or fading tan etc. First step is of course concealer. Back in the UK I always used the Collection c

My Winter Skincare (Ziaja, Kiehl's, Treacle Moon, Le Petit Marseillais)

Today I decided it was time again for a more beauty related post, so I thought talking about winter skincare might be interesting to some of you. First, I have to say that I am a VERY lazy person when it comes to using skincare regularly, and what is also important is that due to my Psoriasis, my skin gets really dry over a few weeks every winter and summer. This gets really annoying because when I take off my jeans at the end of the day, they will be covered with white, dead skin cells on the inside. This is exactly what happens when you have Psoriasis, your skin regenerates much, much faster than it should and as a result your skin always seems dry and needs proper skincare to stay smooth and silky. Of course, you should also keep your skin moistured even if you don't have any skin issues! I picked a product for showering, moisturising my body, hands and face, so let's check out the products! The first product I wanted to quickly talk about is a shower

What I Like About Christmas

Image
I seriously can't believe that Christmas Eve is already in three days! Due to work and uni, the time went by so quickly that I didn't even realise that the year is coming to an end, and therefore, Christmas is just around the corner too. I am usually the person, who will always choose summer over winter, but then again, I really love Christmas. I love Christmas because of the way we celebrate it in Poland, I think it's quite special and magical. Every year we go to Poland, to spend the Christmas holidays with my whole family, and also this year we're going, except that we only have three days off this time. Still, I'm sure we will enjoy it and have a great time. There are so many things I like about Christmas.... I do hate the cold for sure, but running back home to get a hot cup of delicious Earl Grey tea with that zingy lemon taste in it is priceless to me. Like I said once: tea is life. In summer you can't drink too much hot tea, so the cold season

Christmas Baking

Image
Every year around the second week of December, my mum and I start baking all the Christmas biscuits, and since we always bring them to Poland for Christmas, we actually have to prepare a lot of them. I am pretty sure in Poland you usually only bake gingerbread biscuits and decorate them, whereas in Austria, you get a huge selection of delicious biscuits. There is a great choice for everyone! My mum and I always bake the famous "Vanillekipferl" and "Linzeraugen", which are filled with apricot jam, or sometimes with a different kind too. These are actually my favourite ones, and I think that most of the younger people in my family prefer those, while the "older" ones like the Vanillekipferl best. Of course you can buy ready baked and decorated Christmas biscuits in every shop at this time of the year, but to me baking them is also a very important part of the Christmas tradition. I love it when you sit in the kitchen on a gloomy, snowy ( or rainy day lik

My Christmas Wishlist 2016

Image
The last week before Christmas just began and now it is really just around the corner. And if I'm honest, I still don't quite now what I'd like to get this year. However, I came up with a few ideas that would make great gifts for me, so let's have a look! 1. Moschino - Chic Petals perfume Before I first discovered this perfume, I was totally in love with Escada's Cherry in the air and when they discontinued it my heart pretty much broke. It took me some time to find another perfume that I'd like just as much, and it's the Chic petals perfume by Moschino. It smells very glamourous, though still pretty sweet, which I really like. I have already been asked SO many times what perfume I'm using and I am still surprised every time I hear that question. It is obviously not a regular drug store perfume, so it's a teeny tiny bit more pricey, however, it's very intense and lasts for ages! ( I got my last one in April and I will still have i

NEW Ziaja Cucumber Mint Range

Image
Hello everyone! Today I didn't really plan on blogging because initially I had no time for it but since I'm poorly at home and just received a surprise Christmas parcel from Ziaja Austria, I had to blog about it straight away! The parcel contained a new range of skincare products for the face as well as the body, plus a pretty wax melt burner and a matching mint wax from Kringle. So cool! The best thing about this cucumber mint range is that it's suitable for all skin types! So, if you're not 100% sure about your skin type or want to gift some skincare products to someone but you don't know their skin type either- this is a great range! It is available right now online for Austria in the ziajashop   ! In my parcel I received the cucumber mint body lotion , a micellar gel and a face cream . The Cucumber mint body lotion comes in a 200ml bottle and it actually comes in the form of a lightweight spray, which I find very cool and handy.  Afte

All The Stress Before Christmas

Image
It's such a shame that the time before Christmas always seems to be so, so stressful. And therefore the days go by so quickly that you still don't get to do everything you are supposed to do. For example, I had loads of assingments to do that are due in two days and I'm working every day that I'm not spending at uni. I still have some uni work to do, I didn't get all the Christmas shopping done yet and due to all the busy days I didn't even have the chance yet to go to a Christmas market, I didn't decorate my flat at all and it doesn't feel very festive yet I think. I will still be busy right up to Christmas, but I hope that I will ecentually get into that Christmas spirit too! A few days ago I was thinking of blogging over the last five to six days before Christmas because seeing everyone do Vlogmas, I am kind of sad that I don't even manage to post twice a week anymore, yet alone vlog every day. Hopefully my 5 days of "blogmas" will

3 Tips For A Relaxing Evening

Image
After many many weeks full of stress, exams and work, I can now take a little break because I'm done with my exams for now, but I still have one presentation next week and 2 written assignments to do until the 15th of December. However, the worst things are over and this is why tonight I could actually after a long time, sit down in cosy clothes, put up my feet and enjoy a good cup of tea and some amazing gingerbread. ( once again, because yes- I do love gingerbread!) My tips for a relaxing evening are simple, yet they are really good if you need some time for yourself. 1) Make sure you are cosy, wrapped up in soft blankets and have a cosy spot on the sofa or bed to watch some series, videos or movies. 2) What is just as important is something delicious, warm to drink- tea, hot chocolate or even coffee if that makes you happy. And of course, some snacks. Snacks are important. I couldn't live without snacks to be honest.  3) Light some fragranced candles, or

Christmas in Vienna

Image
Hello everyone! Time is flying by so fast and I didn't even realise that I haven't posted in ages already! This month is busier than I expected, so I'm trying to finish off all the homeworks, presentations and revise for my exams, plus I'm also working and somehow I don't even get time to sit down and watch a series, have a cup of tea and just relax for some time. So I really can't wait for my Christmas break, where I'll still have to work, but on the other days I will manage to do everything else I have to. Last week Eryk pretty spontaneously decided to come and stay for a few days since he had some time off. I had my exam week so I was rather nervous about this idea, but Eryk was relaxing, playing games and watching videos, while I was studying all day long until my exams. On one of these days I decided that I needed a short break so we decided to go to the city centre for an hour or two, just to have a stroll around, look at the small Christmas marke

What About My Blog?

Image
Hello everybody! I hope you're all doing well and that autumn didn't already put you in the worst mood ever. My life is really busy at the moment, which is why I currently don't post anything. It annoys me every day and I wish I could go back to the time when I first started blogging, uploading new posts DAILY! Looking at it now I'm really impressed by that and I ask myself how I managed to do that. But then again- I only went to school, I didn't have to study as much as I have to now, and I also didn't work, which makes a huge difference. Having uni and work on every day of the week apart from Sunday really makes you struggle with your free time. All the free time I manage to find, I spend on studying or sleeping. I am so angry at myself that I don't blog anymore, but I just really don't have enough time to think of nice topics, take nice shots and write interesting entries. I have many ideas but just don't get to make them happen. Recen

National Holiday 2016

Image
Hello everybody! Yesterday we had our National Holiday here in Austria, so like every year we headed into the city centre for a nice family walk. The weather is actually much better this week than it was over the last ones, which is very good. I could even leave my winter jacket at home, so that's a big plus. I must say that I was a bit disappointed by this years' National Holiday, because usually it's at one location, every year it's the same one, and this year it was scattered all over different areas, which was very confusing and unusual. But still, it was a nice day out. After our long walk around all the pretty, cobbled streets of Vienna, we went to a Chinese restaurant for some food, which was so tasty! We ate so much though, that once we got home we all had to nap first. And somehow I didn't manage to put this post up anymore, so that's why I'm doing it today! I wanted to study all day long today but due to some issues I wasn't home til now

Cosy Autumn Outfit

Image
The Semester has only begun 2 weeks ago and I am already running out of time. I don't get to blog regularly anymore because of my days at uni and work, so all I have left to do everyhing is Sunday, and this again is not enough when I have to do all my homework, revision, house work, vlog editing, blogging etc. I also thought we would have a nice warm, sunny autumn, but turns out it is only grey, freezing and windy, often rainy and you really don't want to leave the house anymore. One day I was looking through my wardrobe and I realised that most of my stuff is great for summer, but not warm enough for the colder months, so I decided to get some new more cosy bits in. Now, over tha last few weeks I was wearing the same jumper over and over again. Even in one vlog I realised that I wore it everyday! It's so chunky and warm that I never want to take it off, so it looks like I need to get more new jumpers in the next weeks. I also realised that I had so many pairs of jea

Ziaja Cosmetics Haul + Discount Code!

Image
Hey everyone! Being ill and not having to work nor study gives me enough time for blogging, which is nice because I got pretty crap at blogging lately. Today I'm back with a post about a few new things I've tried from Ziaja. I got all the products a few weeks ago and wanted to spend some time testing them all before writing a whole blog post about them. Now the time has come, so let's get straight into it! The first product is the Ziaja Grapefruit with green mint hand soap and this is a new addition to their range actually, so I just had to test it straight away! I totally fell for the beautiful monochrome look of the soap, with the pretty writing and the cute red grapefruit on the bottom. I wish all soaps would look as beautiful as this one.  The soap smells heavenly ( I do love the scent of grapefruits!) and for some reason I really like shower gels and soaps that smell of grapefruits. What surprised me about the soap is that it's bright green, bu

An Unexpected Eyeshadow Palette Favourite | Too Faced

Image
During my stay in Poland I accidentally found a TkMaxx and I just couldn't pass it without having a look through the beauty section. And I am so lucky I went in. Seeing the Too Faced Cat Eyes palette I grabbed it quickly before anyone else spotted it and I knew it had to be mine. Cat eyes. My eyes look the best with some winged eyeliner and touch of a coppery, or darker shade, just to give them more definition. Now, this palette has all the colours I need, I just need to add some black eyeliner and I'm good to go. This palette is perfect for autumn and winter and I was actually looking for a new palette for some time already, but just didn't find what I needed. I wanted both the copper and silver & black, but this somehow never gets offered in one palette. This palette however gives you three colour combinations you can go for, depending on what occasion, how heavy you want your make-up to be etc. I actually never use eyeshadow on a daily basis because

Lookbook from Toruń

Image
If you haven't seen the first blog post from my Toruń "series" then check this out first! The weather was better than I expected it to be and I also packed 4 outfits for the 3 days in case I would get something dirty or if I was too cold or uncomfortable etc. I am actually really proud of myself because for the first time probably I packed really well and I didn't complain about my choices. I took two jackets with me, one for the colder days and one for the warmer days. And I have to say that in the mornings and evenings I wore the cream furry jacket from Primark, whereas during the day I wore my bomber jacket from Forever21. And unfortunately for some reason we forgot the camera in the hotel room on the first day, so I don't have any good photos from that day. DAY 1 I managed to take a quick and rubbish selfie that I sent to my mum after I got ready at the bus station bathroom at 7 am. On the ceremony day I wore this pretty dress in this rusty colour
